I only play TA occasionally because its still cool and hilarious to play on a lan with friends who don't have gaming computers.I haven't tried it recently, but I know just a couple years back you could still bring a new computer to its knees with TA; all you had to do was build nothing but Peewees.
Well I'm fairly certain that I could bring my gaming rig to its knees if I did make every effort to do that lol

Whoah I thought 1mb per second was fast [e digicons]:omg:[/e]
1. Supreme Commander - Forged Alliance 2. Total Annihilation 3. Dawn of War 2 4. Age of empires 2 5. Starcraft Well if demigod counts as an RTS to you, I guess I shoulda put it in there as first or second, but oh well. makes me sad to not see more people with TA and supcom at the top of this list [e digicons]X([/e]
Wow, I wish the tooltip would make me aware that ranged attacks have less chance of proccing than meelee. I used to always wonder why it never seemed like every five hits or so would slow my opponent as regulus with poison dagger.
Bman made a mod kinda like this. Mod support hasn't been added to the multiplayer game yet though =( Frogboy took a look at it and called it "interesting", so hopefully we'll see an official version of this sort of thing in one of the patches by the end of summer.
almost all of the characters are like diablo 2 characters in some way lol. It's not a bad thing, its just that blizzard made a lot of really cool classes in diablo 2 and pretty much used up every concept of magic/swords/armor/bows and arrows that could possibly be used in a game haha
Not all skills are designed to be interuptible. I dont think you'd see many healing sednas or shield QoTs if you could interupt them the moment they were preparing to heal their target that just went under 50% hp.
Actually going both is more of an early game thing I think. Having the dps from spit, ooze, and AA is pretty brutal. Plus you can foul grasp when they realize they need to run, so they'll continue taking spit, ooze, and the foul grasp damage for those two seconds. It does force you to get mana stuff though. I think ooze beast is strongest late game because he can constantly auto attack, and his ooze slows down enemy auto attacks. You just gotta not feed your enemy early on.
I use my interupts and stuns all the time on different characters. You almost never get to interupt a shield or heal, but interupting damage abilities and teleports is always great. I make a point to save them till I feel some sort of cast is about to get used.
I always wonder what the person really expects the finger of god to accomplish. It would be cool to see a more epic result.
A lot of times you wouldn't get the kill if regulus didn't snipe or erebus didn't swarm in. The game is a lot more about suprise attacks than simply being able to out last your enemy. Personally...I'm just glad to see the enemy DG die. As long as my team gets the gold, I dont get too frustrated.
An easier question to answer would be "how do you mod a certain game", but like they said...there's not always a guide on "this is how you mod this game" unless some other player was nice enough to figure it out and write it all for the rest of us [e digicons][/e] So is there a certain game you are trying to make a mod for? It helps even more if you could describe what you want to accomplish.
That unhandled exception message could mean 100 different things guys. An exception is just computer jargon for "something wierd happened". I have noticed that you can ignore it a lot of times if u get it while you are actually playing a game. If it happens while you are in the lobby, any other sort of menu screen, or while the game is launching though, you gotta restart the demigod. I guess thats not as big of a deal as crashing out of a game in progress though.
I think having to classify different abilities as magic or physical would raise a lot more design and balance questions that aren't really necessary...idk just my opinion though.
It also may be kinda hard to get say, helmets, that look good on say, torch bearers, to look good on oaks, queens of thorns, vamps, rooks, etc. *edit* oh, I guess yal aren't necessarily talking about visible items on your character model...oops [e digicons]:X[/e] . I also think seeing your team's items is good, but not enemy ones. Because half the time i end up asking what items my team mates have, so they let me know anyway.
Well, aside from the ethics debate...I hope gpg makes it to where higher level summon kill off lower level ones soon [e digicons]-_-[/e]
sounds nice
well, you don't have to say hi all the time, buit its still a good thing to do. It kinda starts the game off on a friendly/"good sport" note rather than a competitive "I'm gonna pwn you and if I don't its cuz my team is all noobs" mood.
Oh yeah I forgot that it also interupts. Thats probly what I use it for the most. And frost bearer isn't weak...he's a very useful asset to the team.
I think it's doing what it was designed to do by the devs, but that some people are expecting it to work differently cuz of the wording of its description. I initially expected it to increase enemy cooldowns by that % and keep them there, but then i realized that the cooldowns go back to normal when the effect wears off. It's basically just there to screw up someone who was relying on their ability to recharge during the fight, but then they suddenly have to wait another 7 seconds whi
doesn't sedna's heal count as negative damage right now anyway? I'm pretty sure heals don't lower your damage count at the end of the game, but do they raise it or do they not affect it? You can tell heals count as damage cuz they will stop your heart of life...
yeah that would be an exploit imo. Admittedly, it would be difficult and tedious to do in practice though. You don't want anyone nearby to pick up your item lol.
Yeah i agree about the art style especially. One of the absolute coolest things about FA is that you feel like you are in control of some powerful and fierce technology. That fatboy that was shown in the video looks kinda cute rather than scary. *edit* you know I never noticed how odd it seems that the cybrans decided to make a four-legged vertebrate looking unit all of a sudden. That dino exp is freaking awesome, but idk if it really matches with the design of any of th
what the heck?? i never even played a single player tournament before lol. Now i must see!
