Idealopamp and I have been rawking games with Occ and Rook. It ceases to be your secret once I use it. :P To date, I've posted all of my secrets on the forumz. BTW, Blast off and Chain Lightning are sort of like a ghetto version of Counterhealing. Goodbye, monks. Occulus doesn't counter minions, though. Occ is too mana-intensive early game, and I can demolish most of the important towers by level 7.
OMG_Epiphenomenon
Ice TB and UB have their secret monks for tanking, and Ooze works great against towers. I completely forgot!
Rook + Occ is a Tier 1 combination. They can decimate a tower from level 1. I'm not sure of, well, anything that can counter it. His damage output at level 15 is insane with the pokeballs. He's much more effective on Leviathan. He OOMs himself too quickly.
I always got "bankrupt" from those mystery balls. The game is toast, much to my chagrin.
I doubt this game is getting much more. I hope I'm wrong.
If you invite puggers to your clan channel, that's what is going to happen.
I doubt anything is going to change. Updates are released too slowly. We might possibly get the Uberfix in and that's it. Ironically, that would make minions more powerful. :P
I've updated it with two replays.
Shiro, why did people say it was crap? It's a great build. It just requires a higher level of situational awareness and microing. Also, Split, I've been able to beat every other type of oak in my lane starting from levels 4-7. You just won't be able to participate in ganks.
I've won PUG games with this. You've just got to have another general on your team for monk heals. P.S, Why can't I upload replays to gamereplays? It says that it's not a valid replay file. :(
Replays: Minion Oak vs. Hybrid Minion Oak in high level play
Katana posted his build, so here is mine. This is my favorite Oak build. Lest you think it crap, it is playable and competitive. I've beaten Tier 1 players with it. I'll play no noob games with noobs on my team and it has carried me to wins. Here is my build, which took me a while to figure out: 1. Raise Dead Ward 2. Morale 3. Save 4. Ward 2/Morale 5. Shield 1 6. Morale 7. Ward 3 8. Morale 9. Save 10. Ward 4/Moral
This is going to be a fairly long post. Hybrid Oak and Minion Oak are two completely separate Demigods. If you play one, you will forget how to play the other. They involve completely different gear and talent specs. If you are good at one, it will take time to become good at another. They have different survivability and different target priorities. Your hybrid build involves health stacking and mana stacking in order to tank. My build involves zero health items, zero mana helms, and
Sorry Shiro, it's the 99% that give the rest of you a bad name. :P
We call them the Halo kids, and they make up an abominable portion of the gaming industry. :P
It's a message from the dead.
It seems that this is the case. Now I can't have fun during my snow day. :(
It's casual in the sense that it takes very little time to achieve competitive status. I meant it as a compliment. It's simple and fun to play at the same time.
Yeah, if you have only assassins on your team, you cannot use a pure minion build.
Demigod is the best casual game to come out since, um, I don't know what.
Kestrel, Well-written as usual. It's a decent build. This build does not counter a minion Oak, however. It will also be decently countered by an assassin Oak if he ranks divine justice early and buys Nature's Reckoning. In fact, I would say that a gangsta minion Oak build will school any other type of Oak. I want to be the spiritual successor of PeterDumpTruck, so my opinion might be biased. :P Also, a ground spikes QoT will destroy Oak's minions regardless of the build.
Kira's beast is only tier 2 last time I checked. She might have improved, though.
I have no clue what to get on Occulus after level 10. He has no more good abilities.
I would like to nominate DG-Thundershock. I've played a game with him. He has a solid record, and he's a decent player. Definitely a candidate for Tier 2.
Hey, I just wanted to commend Levi5779. He played a vent game with me, and he did exceptionally well for a beginner. He follows advice well and didn't die while locking the enemy's portal. He needs more games under his belt, so I'd ask you all to play with him when convenient. We freaking won that game with a feeder on my team (not Levi), and opponents that had 100+ games under their belt. P.S. Beat a TB with my minion build today. Twice. :P Had good games with Orcun, too.
