1) Light Turret at level 8? I'd have imagined it would be higher priority than that. i don't play much Rook so maybe i'm wrong, but it seems like one of the strongest Harassing abilities Rook has. also one of the best ways of getting pot-shots (potentially kill shots if they're low enough) in on runners. am I wrong?
The Rook has too many cool skills to get in the early game. In general, I've found that going for "Power of the Tower II" and "Hammer Slam III" are more imp
Trying to logically figure out: "What are the chance that you will get at least 3 30% success in a run of 10" which doesn't sound complicated, is waaay outside how you generally think about numbers.
Yeah, the question sounds so easy. You have to use a binomial probability function to solve that one. I should do a post on it. :D

Rook is incredibly underpowered on Crucible. Seriously. Never use him. :P
As I play Boulder Roll/Hamerslam Rook exclusively, it is a viable strategy, especially after level 10. You just have to practice and be willing to lose a *lot*. Also, you need to reorient your camera quite a bit to get a good angle. The problem is that the timing varies based on sim speeds. There is no exact time to hit the slam, as it will vary from game to game. Heck, even giving me 1/10th of a second difference between the time stunned and the time to cast hammer slam would help this treme
I have noticed this as well.
The update is live. It's about 25 MB.
My brother was playing Demigod fine online until the latest patch came out. Now he can't join an online game. He can login just fine and get to the list of custom games being hosted, but he cannot connect. I am on the exact same router as he is, and I can still play DG just fine. He took his computer to a different computer lab and could then connect to custom games just fine. If I host a custom game while we are using the same router, we can connect. The problem doesn't seem to be the router
Sorry, I meant the towers on the left and right sides closest to the center. We should come up with names for the towers for convenience. :D
I was wondering if you all thought it was possible to destroy a tower too early. I'm thinking mainly on Cataract. If you destroy the center towers at level 4, then there is nothing to kill your creeps after you destroy your opponent's creeps. I want the tower to kill my creeps so my opponents don't get XP. What do you all think?
Guildford, I never realized how amazing cap locking is. I'm going to go cap those b******. :P
Did your opponents buy trebuchets at their citadel?
Apparently, their intellegence is the equivalent of a chimpanzee. http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2009/may/26/tool-use-birds-rooks-intelligence Ha you thought it was about Demigod, didn't you. ;)
He's the best at holding the line against enemy DGs. I fended off an Oak 4 times with Rook once, before having to retreat due to mana loss.
Assuming you are referring to tower spamming, this is not true late game. There are many level 20 demigods that could care less that you have 8 towers built, since your towers do not get better DPS after level 10 . Congrats, you have spent 4 skill points in something
Towering is really only good in the early game. It takes 16 seconds to throw up 2 towers at lvl 1, and that will be sufficient to deter any lvl 1 demigod. At lvl 10, it takes anywhere between 64-80 seconds to throw up 8 towers. The Rook has to throw up more towers at later levels to sufficiently deter enemy DGs, and this take more time. Plus, DGs keep getting stronger, but Rook towers don't get more powerful after level 10. Catapultasaurii can outrange towers, which means that the Roo
