this is non sense. always destroy towers. for reasons already mentioned. nobody has mentioned the gold/xp you get for destroying a tower. i think its 300 gold, but i cant find the chart i saw with all the gold rewards, anybody have that link?
I think the gold is actually 30, although the experience is pretty good (not enough to make it worth leaving the creep lanes to kill towers, but enough that it is a huge bo

If only I had a partner.... I'd love a challenge (not that I can't sometimes get them in random games, but the challenge of not trying to find where my idiot partner lives and kill him is different than the challenge of a match between two good teams.)
Wouldn't a 2v2 cup be a lot, and I mean a lot, easier to judge who is better? I mean, who actually plays 1v1?
We already have one of these at the Demigod database site (which I can't remember). But +1 karma for the effort; it works out great!
fine, we can discuss your point. you're correct, but there's not alot of insight to what you said. i agree, it is true that for the purpose of surviving Burst Damage from Demigod Skills it is good to have high health. kinda obvious. and not what i was refuting. i was refuting the notion that its ok to ignore the highly relevant measure "effective health" by concentrating narrowly on
You actually don't keep the health after it wears off, but 20 seconds is more than enough to run, teleport, or kill somebody (unless you are a slow character way overextended in the enemy base.) It also can't kill you; when the effect wears off, you are brought to 1 health at minimum (though with Ooze on, you can combine this for a suicide, which due to glitchy mechanics, means no kill, exp, or gold for your enemies. D:) Basically, the only hassle with it is the 20 second limi
There is no reason not to destroy the towers. First of all, unless you are killing creeps yourself, the enemy creeps still meet in the middle. Second of all, there are two towers (and possibly a fortress with trebuchets) in range of the creeps in the center, so the enemy DGs are actually less likely to get to them before they are killed (being near the health crystal aside.) Not only that, but by destroying the early towers you basically have free reign over the lanes, especially if you have
In my opinion, Oak is the best 1 v 1 demigod in the game by far. But he doesn't excel as much in group battles: your goal should be to never engage Oak 1 v 1. Attack Oak with an ally, even if he has an ally himself. If you both target the same enemy, you should be able to win, even if he has an ally because your heals should keep your team alive longer than them. Also, use the tactics that suit your demigod. Oak's d
20%? from what? rank 3 Diseased Claws gives 10%. its perfectly reasonable to escape from a UB. Warpstone, Cloak of Night, Bat Swarm, Wand of Speed, or someone using their own slowing effects before running. its somewhat harder to escape Beast than other DG's but certainly not impossible. and if you're playing a ranged attacker you might just be kiting and harassing anyway and NEVER
And once again, you still manage to entirely skip demigod skills in your calculations, which is exactly why I was saying the calculations were useless. And they still are. Of course synergy gets you more of your "effective" health, which works great if you feel like suiciding yourself on towers (which, by the way, don't move, so you shouldn't ever get hit by one unless you mean to, making most of your paragraph about towers worthless) or not attacking grunts (who do so little base damage it t
I've tweaked the build a bit now; I always go for a Nimroth's ring. The healing makes me a lot more survivable, and it has some pretty nice base stats anyway.
Ooze has a counter. a much simpler one than Spit in fact. you just walk away. its basically a melee range AoE, any character with ranged attacks and decent run speed can kite an Ooze beast. now thats not a fatal flaw by any means, Ooze can still be very good even against ranged harassing types if you know how to play it right (you have to sneak up behind them). just saying, you can really easily negate Ooze just
UB's DoT is directly countered by oak, QoT or vampy. If you're oak, pop a point in shield and dispell it the second he casts it on you. If you're QoT you probably have your damage shield on constantly so it won't touch you. If you'r vampy, pop a point in mist and I'm 90% sure it dispells it as well. There's 3 heros who can pretty much negate his DoT. Sedna can heal herself and others just need to carry pots or TP scroll
Better hybrid TB: Rain of ice, Shatter, Fireball, repeat until level 10, 11 and 12 Ice Nova, 13 and 14 Fireball/Shatter, 15 Fire and Ice, 16 Rain of Ice fully upgraded, and then go for permafrost. Rain of Ice is all you need for AoE, Frost Nova allows you to stun towers and the shattering does more than fire nova (plus stuns are always nice), so I find that build works out well.
Ok, let me change that: Assassin erebus is the worst against towers (I never play him as a minion master.)
Quoting Milskidasith, reply 14 Modified armor only matters if you are dealing with autoattacks. Nobody uses autoattacks to fight [primarily], except UB himself, Tower Rook, and Regulus Hahaha. I love how this lie has somehow managed to propegate throughout the game. People seem to think all damage is burst damage just because it is more noticeable. Yet
Quoting Milskidasith, reply 8 The problem is that EVERYBODY relies on spells, so pratically nobody gets a good mitigation from armor compared to health. Only... well, UB and regulus actually have a problem with mitigated damage, and even UB built for HP and Ooze isn't losing that much considerin his Ooze is still dealing full damage. Towers - Mitigated by armor TB - Almost all spell damage<br /
One quick thing to Thrandiul; UB is not the worst against towers. Erebus is (he has lower base armor IIRC, and since he doesn't have any moves to use against towers, he can't even spit like [most] UB builds can.)
Creeps deal all of 20 damage per attack. As an Ooze UB, where I take damage every single time I start farming creeps from my ability alone, my health regeneration at level 1 is enough to have ~10 damage taken between each creep wave. It's just not that much damage. And yes, you get hit by attacks. But let's take TB; you take ~3800 damage from his full combo, and maybe 800 damage (without armor) from his attacks. Sedna, abusing pounce, probably does half pounce damage, half melee damag
As UB, since you're not using Ooze outside of fighting, and fighting doesn't take more than 10-20 seconds before someone runs early game, getting more HP instead of HPS is a more valuable investment early on. So I get Nimoth Chest Armor first instead of Hauberk or Boots because it adds more modified health due to armor mitigation (improving Hauberk and Boots modified health also, but more importantly, boosting my modified health from ~4000 to ~580
Boots aren't better if you are running a no mana build with UB (well, ok, Foul Grasp, but he has a base mana of like 4 of those [including recharge time for regeneration] anyway, so one extra doesn't hurt); the Hauberk is better. It all depends on how much money I have when I first head back to the health crystal; if I have 1750, I buy Hauberk, if not, Boots, and I get the next item on the next run. Also, saying 250 is half of the way to banded armor is useless; i
The thing is, this is all based on a very bad edge case; a level 1 regulus is not going to have any of these items. A level 20 UB with stats Ashkandor, and Inner Beast will probably get more DPS per 100 gold than he would add from some of the "higher" value (for your money) items that are just a base increase in damage, which work out well with an autoattack that has low base damage.
I have enough HP to survive the burst damage from a well made TB at level 20 by level 5 (as UB). Granted, he'd kill me with autoattacks, but I could freely sit in the circle of fire, take the fire nova, take the fireball, and still be alive. Plus most of those skills are easily interrupted (and besides, ice nova + shatter + ice rain + fireball does more damage than fire nova, fireball, and fire circle, especially if you autoattack once before the shatter wears off and even more espe
