As a support QoT using Shamblers I have to say that it's quite unfair that Erebus/Oak can get 2.5 times the advantage from minion items as they can have 2.5*4=10 minions (which they can get basically for free)
Minion builds include idols, so it's 10 vs. 16, not 10 vs, 4. That means it's 1.6 times more benefit until you consider shamblers have an AoE atttack so if they hit 2-3 units a piece then you actually gain a comparable and in some cases greater benefit than EB or Oak. I think you guys have a bit misguiged perspective on what makes UB debatably overowered. It's not spit's cooldown... Spit is a 10 second DoT with a 7 second cooldown. Increasing it to 9 would be a nerf, but a pretty pointless one. The most powerful aspects of UB are his ability to deal massive AoE DPS while reducing enemy DPS dramatically via Oooze, his extreme late-game damage mitigation, and his capacity to put very little effort into mana management and remain effective. &n
Havoc is definitely just quitting games with human opponents... but I'm all for it. AIs need to go and this is the only way SD and GPG might realize that. I hope more people exploit this oversight so it actually gets fixed.
Crucible has major issues, most of which were already covered, but just for good measure: The majority of games is spent either babysitting your flags away from the creep lane because of teleport issues or watching the map to teleport every single time an opposing general leaves the screen for a moment Creep upgrades are a liability because there's no side lanes to push while they farm the front A single creep lane is incredibly simplistic and shifts game ba
Lol. If thats exploiting then using a Rook Tower build on Crucible is too
Not really. There's still debate over whether it's intended to skip the entire battlefield and enter the opponent's base, but there's no debate over whether rook is supposed to try to block off enemies with towers. Why would they tell you? It should be about disciplining the player, not ensuring you got your vengeance or whatever.
I would like to see it at least tested. Maybe queue times would skyrocket and we'd have a deeper appreciation for the AI matchmaking, but it seems to me that if people aren't busy playing AIs that's more people to be paired against. I mean while the AI does fill slots in these games it's also pulling people out of the queue, so I'd really like to see what the effect would be if it stopped doing both. Also seriously, light/dark has gotta go.
I don't think we know enough about the ranking system to make a call here yet. I agree it looks bad on the first week, but if AIs always give the same amount of exp then when Prussian's exp climbs up into the 3k+ range like it did last season he might get miniscule amounts of exp off of the comps.
What are those keys set to in setpoint? Do you have them set up as generic buttons?
Here 's a really basic spreadsheet that'll do the math for you. The equation is: =100*(1-(2500/(2500 +A))) where A=armor.
Windtotem you're talking about damage, not damage per second.
Is anyone completely certain that there's no cap on mitigatin btw?
why not just play pantheon to buid your record back up a bit? pantheon... i keep seeing pantheon games in the open games list as 3:3:6:6 this means 2 humans 1 ai vs 1 human 2 ai, no? i'll pass.
I wasn't talking to you.
Most games are decided before level 15 hits, so acclimation isn't really that much of a problem.
Then logically you probably wouldn't object if it were toned down a bit?
They're re-releasing it on the PS3 with new content to promote their motion controller, will any of that content become available on PC? Also my brother bought RE5 on Steam and it was good. If you ever played RE4 on the Wii it's similar to that effect. The improving aiming is a massive improvement.
Acclimation and Ooze are probably overpowered but the way most games play out it's not an issue. Acclimation should most likely have a 15 second'ish passive cooldown.
The ladder was reset on June 25th, wasn't it? You haven't played "since the start of beta," you played 'back in beta,' which is to say not within the past four months. If you're getting kicked from games you must be pugging, why not just play pantheon to buid your record back up a bit? It's generally faster than sitting in lobbies and we could use more people in queue. I know it's annoying getting kicked from games, but the ladder season has just been going for so long now tha
If I remember the numbers correctly, top level spike wave causes towers to take 2.5 times the normal damage, plus the base damage. It is really the only thing I will say that QoT does well.
She also does balls-out insane AoE damage and heals herself well, but when you look at what actually wins games, she doesn't stack up. She doesn't survive well, she doesn't kill well, and she doesn't really help a team survive any better
The problem with uproot is that Spike Wave is hands down the best demolition spell in the game... well maybe second best if you count Rook's Trebuchet. Mulch also hits buildings and a lot of maps it'll even hit a few at a time. It may not seem like much, but just suiciding a shambler in for 500-750 damage mid to late game is pretty effective, though admittedly it doesn't offer the same punch early game. Regardless the fact that towers have zero armor means that spike wave lets low lev
What if capture lock stacks could only hold one? I think they are an integral part of the game to be honest, as they represent a low cost strategic option for a team that may not otherwise have levels/gold. They can balance things quite nicely. I think We should have two varieties of teleport scrolls, just like healing potions. Combat Teleports which take 1 second to cast, but cost a bit more, and only teleport a short range (B
If you're both standing on the creeps then you split exp the same way you would have if you'd just killed them normally, so that shouldn't have been an issue other than it's a waste of a fairly long cooldown. Most of the time people start a game by nuking both creep waves and depriving the rest of exp it's a bad sign though.
Probably to avoid number spam.
Given the slow nature of the game we talked a fair amount and he definitely regretted not having tried to be more aggressive earlier. I think he avoided the towers because at that point in the game he was still just shy of 4k HP and had only his base armor. He probably didn't want to get low enough to have to return to his crystal for fear of falling behind in levels. Giants are a 17k'ish investment and at war rank 10 he had literally no gear other than two minion idols and about 5k g

QoT's shamblers generally won't close into firing range against stationary or fleeing targets. They must manually be guided into range.
