I know it's boring but I really think Cataract is a better competitive 2v2 map than crucible. You pretty much have to have an erebus or lose on that map.

I agree it's very hard to get premades together, but it may get much easier when other premades aren't preoccupied with pub stomps.
Just thought that with replays and a tool like Fraps we could make beautiful ingame movies of interesting matches. Uploading these to youtube (or getting them on game magazine DVDs) could attract quite a few people who do not own Demigod yet.
I don't think videos of matches would be all that alluring for most people, but clips of battles no more than a minute or so long would probably be pretty entertaining for non-DG fans.
Yeah but I don't see that change as a bad thing. It doesn't change the demigod-demigod balance, it changes your map tactics a bit more.
Sure it does. When Erebus can bite you as you chase him near a tower and you take additional hits because you're snared and you take more damage because your armor is reduced, the increased damage clearly changes the balance of that fight. Also many DGs are weaker or stronger at different points in the game. When towers allow weake
yeti's are a lost cause tbh. you would buff sedna by removing yetis all together.
I don't want to buff Sedna, that's not the point of this thread from what I can tell. It's about making an underused skill worthwhile.
Did they ever cap max armor reduction? QoT + Erebus and suddenly they are auto-attacking you for 2.5x values..they go crit heavy and it gets ludicrous - all your HP isn't going to help you when your armor goes negative..
I really don't know. You definitely can't have duplicate debuffs but bite and spikes alone should bring the average player down to about -1700 armor (level ten DGs get about 500 armor no matter what so it's not really plausible to hit a lower number than t
Also I think Natures Reckoning should be dropped in price or something. By the time you afford it you dont really need it
You've gotta realize even a level 10 UB only does about 210 damage per swing on average without +dmg equipment. Nature's Reckoning effectively provides a 15% chance to crit, except unlike normal crits it's not even mitigated by armor. So on an average DG with 40% damage mitigation at that level you're looking at a 15% chance to deal nearly 3x damage, and on t

Three interrupts on a DG is overboard, not to mention it would be a 5th ability which wouldn't fit on the action bar.

I've gotta say that I don't agree with the idea of just increasing the relative strength of the other players when they lose a teammate. Not every DG scales the same way with items or in just pure strength, I'd much rather just see how things turn out with the greatly reduced exp/gold off of AI kills next patch.
Don't forget about life steal! It's pretty interesting as well and you don't see it on a huge amount of items. Total weapon damage, and attack speed all affect it, so it's a pretty complicated way to go about getting health back. Against erebus or QoT it's absolutely critical that you reach an armor level capable of negating their armor reducers. It follows this equation: 100*(1-(2500/(2500 +A))), where A=armor. Here's a very, very simple google doc that'll let you put
Not always depends how far you go into it. Now a level 4 transfer is useless because what is 1200 more damage but a 10 second tower stun with your arrows trebuchet and light tower attacking it at the same time can dish out some damage. Expecially if it barely drains your mana and you get health back.
By level 5 you can kill a tower before it destroys a single one of your own. Just drop a tower in range, walk out of range, re-enter range and attack. If you get interrupted next to
At least as important is the +4 damage from morale. Erebus and Oak, can each get maybe 15 minions without much trouble, and max out at more. At the 15 minion level the total is +60 damage. With a maximum of four yetis and six minions from totems, Sedna never gets more than +40 for each point of morale, and has a good deal more trouble even maintaining that number of minions. The same arithmetic goes for QoT.
Don't forget that Shamblers and Yetis do AoE damage, it follows to reas
I always found Structal Transfer rather handy actually And the Warpstone is overpriced for the tiny distance you get with it. Maybe 4500 yeh
Every time I see an enemy rook use transfer I know we're going to win, in all honesty. Even when we fought Nazhda4ka I knew it was going to be a victory for us when I him drain the first time.
I consider the Replays a pretty big deal. But I also consider having more items (favor items and regular items) added to be as big of a deal as the new Demigods (others may disagree but if you want to keep the game fresh, we need to keep adding more items).
As you guys add new items I think you should look to the artifacts for inspiration, btw. Virtually every single item at the artifact shop is good and there's a ton of variety there. It may not be the most creative appro
Agreed. You are mostly right, but still there's a question: can you win a fight w/o HP stacking vs HP stacked opponent?
Define HP stacking, because I constantly beat 6k+ hp players with 4k HP myself when I play rook. I focus on mana early game and rely on my towers to take damage for me. I've beaten HP stackers indirectly by buying upgrades instead of buffing my own HP up to their levels, and I've beaten them by picking up an orb of defiance instead of pure HP an
The game should be centered about heros not creeps. Currently getting giants first is the way to go most of the time. The way it should be is playing well and doing least possible mistakes and figuring a good build/strat vs enemy heros..
Translation: I fare so poorly against other heroes that I can't hold flags and lose on war score, and yet I still blame this on the game not focusing enough on DGs.
But whatever keep posting the carebear stuff like game is pretty balanced
Yes, it is. But, the main issue is not DG imbalance, it is gear imbalance, because actually HP items>all other items. What i want to see in Demigod is changes to item balance to make HP stacking not the only viable option.
I don't see where you're getting this from. There's a major decision between building up mana regen and health. Mid game there's a decision between citadel upgrades and health, and late game there's a choice between damage artifacts and more health.
I've got an even better idea. Convert all minon enhancing items to % effects so that you don't have 2200 HP nightwalkers and spirits and so that shamblers, yetis, and any summons future DGs have don't have to come in swarms of 10+ to get mileage out of minion items.
It looks like you need to sign up for the mailing list to get your beta info.
We talked about this a bit in another thread, but my suggestion would be to add a tally of total health regenerated, healed, or shielded, and then attribute those effects to their sources for the favor award. So theoretically any DG who stacked enough life steal or regeneration could win the award in the same way that sedna could win the damage award if played a certain way in the right circumstances, but obviously Sedna's 24 HPS aura and her heals are going to push her into the lead
If I understand you, you believe that the items are priced correctly so unique abilities come with a steep price. Well that is the system we have now and it seems people don't like it. I'm not going to pretend I know enough to balance every item in the game to make everyone happy or to even balance it. What I'm suggesting is an automatic balancer based on the law of supply and demand. Once the items become priced correctly, then all the items are getting used and we see NEW statagies.<
