Proffesional means being a good sport and letting your winning opponent have fun even though you are not enjoying yourself that much so that when it's YOUR time to kick ass, you will also have fun and not have to cut the game short because your enemy got scared and quitted.
Why not just enjoy the process of getting to that point. Demanding that people continue to play a game past a point where they're having fun seems silly to me.
For the record, people complain about premades in customs as well if not more. I happen to fall in the very large and undefined category of "premade" because I have 2 RL friends and 1 brother who I like to play games with, and this is currently that game. We are definetely not great players by any stretch of the word, ranging from 60% to 20% win rates, yet we're still hated on simply because we know each other. Its like "omg you guys know each other? Premade!! DIE IN A FIRE
Played a bit more and the patch seems to have done the trick, so kudos to SD/GPG on this one.
There are some exceptions besides snipe I suppose. Maybe hitting a critical mass on AoE damage with dual TBs would be unnecessarily punitive for minion builds, but seriously for the most part this all just goes back to people not liking being sniped to death, which as I said is pretty much brought in check by priests/monk idols anyway.
not mcuh of a differnece. at level 10 this baraly was around 200 hp (or was it arround 300?) more that the priests healed then the bishops. at lower level of course even less of a difference.
If a player had 5k health he would have been healed for 1500 by rank 3, now he'll be healed for 1100 by a rank 4 minion, or 950 by a rank 3... That's a pretty massive change when you consider the priests heal every 5 seconds, aka faster than sedna heals herself without cooldown reduct
Quoting Obscenitor, reply 9I'm really interested in how differently people are going to play a mortal sedna. Its not that much of a change (22% still leads to ~1.4k heals if you health stack), but I'd guess slightly less pounce spammage, in favor of heal. Slightly. Mainly it'll affect item buy order, as ~1.5k to upgrade your monks 100% was sweet and could take precedence over certain other 1.5k items. Now it'll cost ~2k to upgrade to upgrade
I'm really interested in how differently people are going to play a mortal sedna. :)
Haven't tested it extensively, but I joined a few games and left once I got connected and I was getting 120'ish pings off of proxies, so it looks like the hotfix worked.
They're only exploits in the sense that you exploit the cast time of rook's hammer by interrupting him, or you exploit the ability to lower tower damage by equipping more armor. Nothing unfair or unintended is happening, little micromanagement tricks complicate and improve the game.
They simply need to reset everyont to zero on everything when stats are actually working
I think that nuking everyone's favor points is a bad idea if you want to bolster the game's popularity and lure players back.
Well you guys may disagree, but I think that priests pretty much fix the cheesiness of the most despised doubles. This solution may be a bit extreme and I'm sure most people wouldn't agree, but I think it'd be interesting to remove the priest upgrade completely and make them roll out at rank 3 like archers do at rank 2. It would pretty much remove issues with triple snipes, spits, etc. and it'd also balance out monks a bit, because seriously they're complete game changers as-i
Based on that close game we played a couple of nights ago, I tend to agree with you that late game towers (plus orb) can be effective. That said, you were spamming late game tower farms more quickly than most tower Rooks I've faced. Were you using staff of renewal to mitigate the long cool-down? I don't think many tower rooks use that item in their build.
I don't think the tower rook build can function without that item. 10 second tower
The long and short of it is that people hate getting hit with double snipe, spit, and mines. Because of those they made a broader house rule that's pretty pointless. Doubles are fine, but seriously I draw the line at triple reg.
No one here is even debating each other.

I assume it's the same here since there was some kind of hotfix last week which didn't include this.
Lemme clarify that I don't think this build is bad you just framed it in a way which makes it not just a hammer build but also an attack on tower builds. I just think that it would require significant team support, which is fine if you're doing premades but suicide (in my opinion) if you're pugging frequently. Also I agree that at least one rank of towers would go a long way on this build. Rook is the only one who can allow allies to warp in and assist, and he's also the slowe
The best part about playing rook is that most people won't go doubles. A bad rook is the worst DG in the game, even worse than a regulus that won't buy HP gear, so you can spare yourself a ton of frustration if you get good with rook yourself. Onto your specific rook build I wouldn't recommend it without extended healer support. Even Erebus could be enough if you play your cards right and he uses bite, monks, and mass charm correctly. I average just over 90 favor points per game by your sytsem. :) The rook average favor points seem way, way lower than they should be, damage and reinforcements are pretty much giveaways for rook and all the others are fair game (except flags, which I rarely get).
