Yeah seriously prison is just terrible. It was specifically designed for premade sedna+UB mirror match showdowns as far as I can tell.

I actually think Leviathan's an excellent 3v3 map, but I'll play on Cataract over Prison any day. My main beef with cataract is that backcapping the portals is so easy and is such a game ender once giants are in play, but I also don't like that dark can push gold mine easily while capping the HP flag.
Thanks for looking into it! It appears they're still doing it as of just a minute ago. I'm about 10 minutes west of Kansas City if that matters. Does anyone here know what router settings might force one to use proxies more? I'm completely unable to play without them.
sedna-priests 3 are slightly stronger than they should be but not stronger than priests 4 should be. neither way the difference is never gamebreaking.
They're 36% stronger than priests 4 should be, and 50% stronger than priests 3 should be.
Hi. This isn't done but it may be as done as I make it. Basically I was browsing around and saw some neat pictures of japanese demons as I was thinking about how many players would like to see a ninja-type character in the game, so this is an idea of how to add one without necessarily adding invisibility, monster ambushes damage, perma super speed, etc., which actually means most people probably won't like it. It's time for bed so I'm going to post this before it's done so that I don'
but i also i hate how u stupid yanks think anything over 200 but under 250 is to high...
It's the euros who are most guilty of kicking people with reasonable pings. I'll play anyone with 300'ish, but I've been kicked from euro games for 180 ping quite a few times. For the OP it's a proxy issue. Last time this came up it took about a week to fix, so hopefully it goes faster this time.
Fair point, but maybe making level 3 and level 4 be different choices would make it less of a no brainer to just buy in accordance with how much money you have.
I would agree if the more broadly useful one weren't also the cheapest one and if 30% weren't just unreasonably high in the first place.
Well the problem with these kinds of rewards is that they would always go to QoT/Sedna, and would only see competition if multiple players picked those DGs, which is to say they would be fairly non-competitive compared to the other awards everyone competes for. I suggest a different approach: Name a different award something like "triage," something ambiguous, have it tally all health absorbed, stolen, healed, and regenerated together, and attribute those heals and shields to
Actually I find this to be one of the few interesting item choices for Sedna. Late in the game High Priests don't have enough health to survive AoE attacks whereas I think Bishops do. Trading vulnerability for increased healing capacity is a legitimate choice that won't be correct in every situation so the severity of the bug is diminished.
I dunno, it's only a 210 HP difference, 1120 vs. 1330 and if you get any +HP from items or magnificent presence the difference is going to b
Shade you're being trolled.
I understand your logic, the "problem" is that it can coexist with my logic, so I have no reason to abandon it. No part of what you or I is saying undermines the logicality of the other. I suppose that means I think it would be simultaneously a nerf and a fix.
I agree. I think the mechanic has been in place long enough for the game community to accept it as part of the game's mechanics so it's a little bit of column A and a little bit of column B. I don't like the id
Right now Sedna priests cost 2100 and heal 30%. Using these priests is completely legitimate. When High Priests are changed, Sedna priests will cost 2700 and heal 22%. Using those priests will also be completely legitimate. This is pretty much the definition of a nerf.
No dude. It increases the healing capacity of everything but rank 3 priests by 50%. It has nearly quintuple the effect of that on rank 3.[/q
Scaled Helm is cheaper and more effective than Plate Visor. There is no logical reason this should be the case. Yet no one complains that buying Scaled Helm is bugged, or is an exploit. Ergo, neither are High Priests. When they are changed, it will be a nerf. Probably a deserved one, as well. But it is important to distinguish here.
First off that's not true. On Leviathan the plate visor gives more mana per second than the scaled helm
Yeah, as people have been saying, there are still a lot of outright bugs. The only thing on the list as of right now that probably isnt a bug is the HoB stuff. But really HoB does need to be nerfed so people will probably find it much more enjoyable to play games against good players if that item isnt abused.
I hear HoB actually is bugged, supposedly its effect occurs on all units at creation in addition to its on-use activation
This was the one that you brought up to preface your main suggestion, so this is the one I will address: This. Is. Not. An. Exploit. Sedna priests cost 2100 and heal for 30%. Thats the way the game is balanced right now. When and if that is changed, it will not be a bug fix , it will be a nerf .
It's a bug. Healing Wind is supposed to increase their healing by 50%, it does on all the other ranks, rank 3 is just bugged. That b
Well saying either one is better since the ability to remove debuffs at rank 3 heal is hard to quantify. If it weren't for that secondary effect I would confidently say that shields are better than heals because they don't overlap with priest heals (I've healed myself up to 90% health as and then been healed for 1300 by my priest a moment later) and can be applied before combat on multiple allies. I think you see few support QoTs for reasons other than shield's deficiency. Shields are
Premade as a gaming term came from WoW's BGs when players from the same server would enter a BG together. When there weren't enough of them to fill the team entirely that was called a partial premade, so I would say that you were a partial premade joining a no premade game, from what I've read (and I didn't read this whole thing). In WoW when a partial premade with excellent gear and skill were in a BG they could easily have a more dramatic impact than a full premade premade with mode
Some noobish questions here if u guys don't mind: proxy servers in DG are used only for Custom games, right? And, what kind of connection/performance improvements/fixes does this give over DG's standard P2P? Thanks in advance.
When the proxy servers are working correctly you wouldn't be able to tell a difference between a direct conneciton and a proxy. The fix it provides is that apparently there are some players you just wouldn't normally be able to connect to
Or, you could maybe ask everyone if they see ok pings? Even when the are screwy, most of them still work fine. I proxy and I've played several decent games today.
This. If someone is mute and has proxy connections, then by all means kick them. However I play with proxies pretty much every game for some reason and I'm very attentive when it comes to identifying connection issues.
Explain? Afaik she has the weakest AA in the game.
Well by that I mean She does about 90% of sedna's autoattack damage if neither have any items and that margin closes when you add anything with +dmg in. So I just think that the utility of being ranged and having the option to deal splash damage without any enhancements makes it superior to sedna's. Also if you look at her damage compared to the other ranged DGs' it's pretty reasonable. It falls short of TB by a bi
AFAIK minion damages minion damage is affected by armor. Just try a Minion QoT with Spike and without Spike against a low armor Demigod and you'll notice a huge difference that can't be explained by QoT laughable auto attack damage. The armor reduction might not be as noticable when using other demigods as the damage increase is not that noticable if enemy demigods stack armor (lvl 4 bite should give 18% extra damage for 3 sec. if the enemy got 3k armor).
I was completely wrong
lol EU and USA dont mix? Fail. Obscenitor, I don't think minion damage ignores armor. That would be insanely cool(and OP), but right now armor nicely counters minions. I'll do a formal test when we finish up this l4d round (gogo steam browswer).
Just avoid/kick players with proxies is my advice.
This is a poor solution given how many people use proxies.
I'll go find another thread to talk about minion balance in general though, because I'm derailing this one which is meant to be about an exploit rather than overall minion fairness. *update* I was wrong, armor does affect minion damage.
