Being as there are no "pro" Demigod players, it's entirely logical.
Absolutely beside the point. Break down the argument: The orginal argument: p1. Players should act like pros. p2. Pros let other players finish their citadel when they lose Therefore players should let the victors finish citadels before conceding. The rebutta

Twin250 was running a premade 4v4 earlier and when I called him on the imbalanced teams he pretended not to know what I was talking about. Ironically one of their guys disconnected and they lost, but regardless he and his buddies played dumb when I pointed out that the teams were stacked. Also I should point out the team did take the loss without the host DC'ing so kudos to them for that.

I also think concieding (not to mention rage quitting) should not be allowed. Be proffesional, fight to the death. The opposing team worked hard for the privilege of reducing your once proud citadel to rubble. Don't take that away from them. Castling to stale the match is seen as bad manners.
This is not Starcraft, nor Warcraft, and most
There's periodic weekend sales too.
Just installed the beta, joined a noobs game, and hated it. Not being able to zoom out is incredibly frustrating.

I switched out mine and do not proxy to other players as much.
Sadly I have the opposite problem. I don't troubleshoot networks for a living, but my brother is and consequently we have a fancy schmancy Juniper instead of a normal router. I'm sure it could be configured so that I don't have to rely on
If you're going to improve QoT's support by imitating Sedna, look at Inspiring Presence and Healing Wind, not her direct heal, shields are fine. Shield has plenty of advantages heal doesn't, but if in spite of that heal is still better, that's fine, not every spell has to be equal. QoT has too many abilities with too few purposes. Those need some dual purposes like Sedna's abilities other than heal have.
Quoting raiz265, reply 8imho they should give gold/xp on minion kills that would make people think about how they use their minions and would stop them from sending them in blindly on every cooldown to slowly rip your towers/citadel apart. Yes I've never understod why killing minions and rooks towers sems to give no xp or gold.
Minoins and towers have very little in common, I don't think towers should give exp or gold. You can'
Regardless of what automatching or a larger and anonymous community or magically amazing and popular competitive leagues or bug and exploit-free gameplay may exist at some point in the future we don't have any of that stuff at the moment We play the game we have - which is why some ground rules, no matter how misguided or unpalatable they might be, can work some of the time between two like-minded teams who, again, don't want to be forced into narrowly countering broken mechani
Oh also if that thing is female don't forget again to put the bow on it like you did with UB.
I like the look of the new DG, reminds me of an alien from Alien from that angle. That being said he looks like another dark melee character which could be good if it makes it so you don't see UB quite so much.
The only things we really disagree on are semantics and bragging rights. -edit- well come to think of it there's the time you said all premades are on a higher level than pugs, I don't agree with that still
I had mixed results today. I haven't been able to play at all since the issue started, but today I did get into a few games where the proxy connections were what you'd expect them to be, although there were still a good number of high ones. Pantheon just isn't an option at the moment if you depend on proxies a lot. :/
if you want demigods to become a competative game then this is a must. if you don't like the rules then don't play with them, this isn't rocket science people.
No, it's really not. DG would become most competitive with automated matchmaking, in which case all house rules would be completely unenforcable and off the table. The things that are proposed to be forbidden here are all bugs, and bug fixes are devs' concern, not the players.' I know I sound really cynical
Its funny how the competitive community gets such a huge amount of flame. No one said it was bad to be a casual player, and yet these threads are full of people flaming pro games for the very idea that someone might be good at the game.
I join these games just for the pleasure of proving them wrong.
I think the problem is really lack of games. If half or more of the games on your list are 'pro' games, and the other half are for countries on the opposite side of the world, then the community is basically saying 'you aren't good enough, you can't play'. I can understand how that must suck for ye olde scrube. That said, when my Prem and I host a game called "Good players, teams ok" it is funny when the entie
I dunno if this helps, but I logged onto the demo to see how proxies were working there and they seemed to be functioning great for me at least. I didn't actually play any games (no sense in driving people away from the game) but I was hovering around 120 on the half dozen proxied connections I tried.
At least the noobs know that Pro's are people who make a living from doing a certain thing and don't just call themselves Pro to make themselves feel superior. Maybe thats why the join, because they are players, and you are players, and the aim of the game is to play not stroke your E-peen.
Are you oblivious to what that term means in video game jargon or just pretending to be?
Has anyone else noticed that once the demo went up, the proxy system started to totally suck again? I.E. - People I have been playing with for a month now have 800 pings to me when they proxy. This began around the same time the demo was released. I'm not sure if the two are related, but its definitely an issue.
Hey time, check out my post on proxies over in the connection issues. The good inews s they're aware of it, the bad news is
Can't say I agree with you there. My ladder rank is somewhere above 20K but I wouldn't have any qualms with joining a 'pro' game.
The excpetion doesn't disprove the rule. You're also assuming hosts are incapable of a reasonable conversation. Ignoring the fact that I've played with you, if I were hosting and you explained that you have a good win rate and have played well against high ranked players that'd be that, you wouldn't get kicked. I stand by rank 1500 as a reason
Strange how I've played people with an extremely low ranking that were very good as well as people with a high ranking that play poorly. What about the guy with a 150-125 record that has ended up with an exp count of 100? I've seen those guys before and they tend to be pretty decent players. How about the guy with a 8-2 record with an exp of 1100? All this stats display thing will do is make it hard for people with good ranks and people with bad ranks to find ga

Seriously if you're not rank 1,500'ish or better you just shouldn't be joining pro games. The ranking system isn't perfect, it's good enough.
premades are good, they raise the skill level for all those random pugers. if u cant take it stay in single player.
They don't raise shit, they lower the bar for competitiveness. Next patch stats will be visible in game and premades who refuse to fight players with similar records will hopefully have a much harder time playing at all.
