Just like to point out that it wasn't entirely his fault - ole George Dubyah didn't exactly leave it in a nice position.
Yeah, really the problem here is that there's no real evaluation of what the debt means. For example: How is it being created? Why is it being created? What are we getting in return? To whom is it owed? Just generally why is it so bad when the US has had debt since its inception? I know the a
If there was a good way to rank players like shadow based on their style of play and me based on my style of play, then that would be ideal.
From what I can tell the current stat system is fine for ranking players. Higher ranked players should give more experience when you beat them and less experience when you lose to them. Lower ranked players should give next to no experience, and that seems to be working... The problem is that no high ranked players

If they take the idea of could computing all the way there's no reason why you wouldn't be able to play demigod or whatever else you want on the thing. Supposedly Onlive is already functional, though I'm skeptical that it could be popular in the US or any other country with a similarly crappy internet backbone until some major infrastructure development takes place (aka not especially soon).

I was quoted from another thread but I'll repeat it here, when you look at the current rankings it's all people with 90% and higher win rates on top. Honestly tracking the games better would have a minimal impact on the rating system because the way to the top isn't by quality of games but by quantity. Until the best players start playing each other the whole experience system isn't really going to work and recording any one particular game (such as a big win vs. a high rated te

Hey since you SD guys are posting here, would you be up for sharing some of your (possibly conflicting) thoughts on whether premade matchmaking would function under the pantheon setup or skirmish, or possibly both?
Arranged team skirmish is what everyone really wants.
Yup. The should probably call it something more serious than skirmish though.

The problem seems to be gone on my end kryo, not sure if anyone else her is still having problems, but the post is a bit old and it seems like it's been working fine for me since a day or two before the fourth of july weekend.
Of course Pantheon doesn't match up players based on skill (seems like a tertiary consideration), so that does not really fix anything.
It does base it on skill depending on your perspective. The problem is that there's not enough players in queue so while a high ranked player may fight the highest ranked players available it doesn't mean they're going to be fighting good players. Regardless premade vs. premade would be better than the current system regardless of th
Also on topic, if they were to change locks (again not saying they need to) I think an acceptable change would be a slight increase in cooldown, giving the enemy a small window with which to retake the flag if they can. So that for about 5-10 seconds the flag would be unlocked. Then again, a good enemy trying to retake the flag could always just use an interupt to stop the relocking as well.
Well the only map I really think it's an issue on is Cataract and the single
Now you are deliberately misrepresenting my arguments. I did not say that I know strategy Z, I'm saying that whatever the "latest" strategy in the game is, a premade team has it, and the only people that can learn those types of strategies are the premade teams that play against them. Also, you know full well "level 3" does not describe a specific game, it describes a person's overall understanding. Playing some pub stomps does not undo the learning that took place during any previous
11
Is one out of 11 an accurate indicator of the frequency? At 3-6 games a night that means one or two premade vs. premade games per week, that's hardly a petri dish for skill development, aka something say "I'm level 3," "I'm hot shit" over.
If you want to list my game history, go ahead. You'll find several pubstomps, some with my full team and some with 1 pub ally. You'll also find quite a few pre vs pre games.
I suppose you doubt that this progression actually exists, but I have lived it, and in more games than just this one.
Gimme a break. I played plenty of games where strategy A was viewed as overpowered, no changes were made, and then strategy B is developed, strategy A falls out of favor, and the same process repeats itself until you're up to strategy R or S or whatever.
a premade player who has played against other premades is even higher: Level 3.
This is the hole in your logic. Just playing against another premade doesn't advance you to the next skill level, especially if that premade hasn't played against premades before or frequently, just as a person who primarily joins games solo doesn't magically reach yoru level two by playing a single premade game. There's no evolution of strategy or skill in playing one out of
