Yes, but a support DG also being better than everybody else in 1v1 is a bit overpowered. They should lose in 1v1s to assassin specced DGs, but they don't. They take two people to kill despite also having the ability to keep their allies healed as well. It's a little bit OP, but overall fine.
The two most popular assassins, reg and UB, have little trouble with sedna/QoT imo. Once I get shrapnel mines I feel Sedna's ability to pressure me evaporates and even before then I ca
Wait, what? Why should a support DG be getting serious offensive upgrades because they can already beat DG killing focused DGs in 1v1? That makes no sense at all. Support DGs should not be hard countering other DGs in 1v1s.
That's not what I said, so I agree it makes no sense. I responded to this:
Either way, i dont think ANY dg should require 2 others to be taken down. That in itself makes the game imbalanced because if you get a tower rook, a sedna and a
You may claim that mid-late game the tower rook can be taken down easily, but most games with a tower rook are decided by then.
Honestly I don't know what the people who say that are talking about. Early game rook has mana issues, has almost no burst potential, can't chase anyone, and can't escape. Late game mana is a non-issue, I can start to buy the more expensive movement speed items (I had a cloak of elfenkind at the end of ours), and I can afford to buy stacks o
As a TB I can understand your frustration. RoI is nice but it's not high enough damage to be a real tower killer unless they're all stacked up and moving in for deep freeze or fire AoE is risky with boulder roll. That being said, I had excellent support on the finishers all through the last 1/2-2/3 of the game. Early on my teammates didn't do so well but they only died a few times, maybe 1-2 times a piece which was really only a 2k'ish gold swing in your favor, spread out ov
Stuns definitely don't stop HoL through the Orb of Defiance's effect, I doubt it works with Oak's shield.
Most of the problems I see on how people say tower rooks are OP is that ( I play a mad tower rook so I see it first hand) 1. The team dosent work together to take his farm down 2. people just go balls out and charge in and sit in the tower farm, then meet a boulder roll /gg 3. I've seen no counter pushes or when a tower rook is pushing I dont see anyone come behind or any flanks. dunno why
Tower rook isn't OP at all, except on Crucible where he's retardedly imba. Think about this for a second - when you play against a tower rook, and he's setting up farms in one of the lanes, what is he constructively doing? Sure, he's creating a trap for any DG that tries to take him out, but any decent player should not be stupid enough to do so. He'll farm creeps, but if he's only in one lane, then you can kick his rear end easily, cause you can cap more than one flag. If he tries to
Hey, didn't get a response, but I might be able to give you some feedback about what worked and didn't work against me that game if you can tell me if it sounds like I was the rook you were fighting. I finished a 3v3 on cataract just a few minutes before you posted. My team consisted of EB, Rook, and Oak, the other team was EB, TB, and UB and the part about the early kills matches up with the game you described.
Did I just play against you as that rook?

Alright, now I'm curious about the other side of the argument. For everyone who defended the exp/gold values are you now disappointed or upset? I have no idea why people went to such lengths to defend something so clearly out of whack, the only argument in favor of the status quo I'd seen made was that it wasn't that big of a deal.
Doesn't say a god damned thing about his travelling on a foreign passport.
Why does that matter? I could go get a german passport if I wanted to (if I really, really, really wanted to since it'd be a ridiculous amount of paperwork) and I could still run for president later if I wanted to embarass myself badly enough.
The priests and angels have been significantly tweaked in terms of gold and XP in v1.1 according to the update notes. I haven't checked it out myself. We'll know tomorrow.
Done, end of debate.
Unfortunately, there are some people here claiming exactly that.
If by here you mean the boards, then yes, but in this thread I haven't seen it so far (maybe I glossed over it though). We can agree that anyone who says that is being unreasonable or hyperbolic.
Suggesting the drop to say 40xp sounds pretty reasonable, and gold to 15-20 sounds pretty reasonable too, would this make things so earth-movingly better though?
Well relative to the effort
From my experience, I've found that upgrading priests mid game is extremely helpful. Yes, they give more gold and xp to the opposing team, but they significantly help push the lanes (in Cataract). While the lanes are being pushed, I have the opportunity to flank greedy opponents trying to farm the creeps. More times than not, I get the kill (depending on which DG I am). In addition, I've found that pushing with the upgraded priest waves substantially helps.
For comparison let's get this in here too: Unit Exp. value Bounty value Soldier 33 4 Archer 33 8 Priest 50 33 Angel 50 66 Catapultasaurus 30 66
The only thing I can agree on, that the xp and gold benefit from killing a Priest is maybe to high
That's exactly what we've been saying. Really every other point here is moot, we can go around and around in circles about when priests can help, and no reasonable person is going to say that priests are an auto-loss 100% of the time or that they never serve any purpose. If priests gave 40 instead of 50 xp and 15 instead of 33 gold would anyone be posting here
I shouldnt have to warn teammates every game not to press the red self destruct button. The button shouldnt be there. (and you know it)
This too.
I had thought about Rowskin's idea before and the only reason why I didn't suggest it is that players might purposely cede flag control to draw out priests... But the more I think about it the less likely that scenario seems. Leaving the HP flag, CD flags, gold mines, etc. in enemy hands probably wouldn't be worth forcing the priest spawn.
- Sedna is screwed because no AoE means less ability to tag creeps
I think this is more indicative of a general issue with Sedna.&
Some items, like godplate, increase health damage and are pretty good on their own. Maybe more armor should offer +minion health in addition to its current effects so that gearing up your DG is a more holistic process.
or woca and Obscenitor: http://www.lasvegastourism.com/marriage1.htm
Thank you for the link, but Nevada has a ban on it in their state constitution.
Another issue I have with them is that they heal based on a percentage of total health. While that's awesome and makes them quite helpful I think it's counterintuitive with the war rank they're available at. When everyone has 5-7k HP late game they could probably give 70 gold and still be fine, but by that time you're likely at war rank 8, which goes back to the major complaint most people seem to have with them: Priests before rank 8 is generally a self-imposed handicap.</p
