How many characters would you control and from what perspective?
You seriously believe such a person would bother downloading 24 songs online illegally or rather would have simply sent one of his lemo drivers to pick up the bunch of CDs (possibly two or more copies, just in case) at the local music store or something?
Five years ago, yes. There was no real online infrastructure to purchase most music conveniently. Your caricature of rich people doesn't really further your argument. A better question is whether a rich perso
start a new thread, don't whine like the op, state the problem, then i'll take a look and post, and then maybe stardock/gpg will seriously look into it this thread is counterproductive in that the op gives no helpful data, complains about a problem he potentially created, and that his post probably comes off as rude to stardockgpg, and so they probably will ignore it
This kind of post only worsens the signal to noise ratio and is a self-fulling prophecy.
Anticipatory interrupts work, but reactive interrupts are nearly impossible. The second problem is that so many abilities in this game that interrupt also do incredible other things (big damage, slow, armor reduction, etc) so you rarely want to save them for interrupting. Thus interrupting is often relegated to chance rather than purpose.
Yeah, honestly I find most interrupts more frustrating than fun because of this. For example Boulder Roll vs. Pounce. I've
if the op wanted to complain and say that priests are not balanced and show that data and how he believes they are not ever worth it, well maybe he should post about that, not complain about some "noob fruitcake" who bought an upgrade when he is just as much at fault
Well maybe as reasonable people we can have a decent conversation without being prompted by the OP?
you really are missing the problem here. the problems not the priests, its the op's lack of communication.
Don't you see the root of the problem is how counterintuitive the mechanic itself is? No other upgrade is going to have the same kind of negative impact on your team that priests at the wrong time does. If someone forgoes buying any armor and grabs all the tower damage upgrades that's probably going to hurt you quite a bit, but still not in the same way that get

As for the people who say that communication is key, you're just defending a bad mechanic, and your argument doesn't really make sense because there's a ton of bad advice on the internet so people are naturally going to try it for themselves eventually, especially when you're a complete internet stranger telling them what to do.
Priest are just awful. There's no such thing as using them to win, there's just winning in spite of them. The fact that the proponents here both admit to buying them when they were noobs and to having to end the game quickly speaks volumes, allow me to rephrase: Priests are counterintuitive and will sink you in the long run.
Oh yes. Let's turn all upgrades into "AH BUY AS SOON AS AFFORDABLE". That will totally increase the depth of the game. Awesomecookies.
Th
I'm curious what the reaction would be if the defendant had been a billionaire - i.e. someone who could easily afford the damages. At least I could see a shred of logic in that, but this settlement seems completely senseless. That being said I p

That doesn't even make sense, and all it does is make you sound like one of those guys who gets mad every time Reg hits them with a couple mines, takes off 1/4 of their health, and then runs away before you can spit to wait out the cooldown mines, or a rook who falls back into his towers over and
These arguments all boil down to the same assumptions present in Vinraith's argument. At this point in time, I don't believe that there is sufficient information available regarding

1) Valve's commitment to the original,
There is not going to be any new content for the original. By content I really just mean levels. They said they're committed to bringing team matchmaking and I'm sure they'll follow through, but I don't think most players realized t
I don't think Valve would've gotten such a big outcry if they called it an expansion pack than a sequel. Sequels generally bring updated and improved engines with new functionality and features, not more game content on the same engine.
This. My main problem with the 'sequel' is that all of the game mechanics were completed a whopping six months after release of the first one? Probably even sooner? The fact that they have a complete, working campaign already sh
Spit is only a problem for players that like to run away.
So it's only an issue for players who don't like dying, good to know.
For me the cutoff has always been 300 ping, I couldn't care less about location. I'll give 350 a try though if you guys say it plays smoothly enough. I'll also give more euro games a try. I'd love to practice my german if it's not too annoying.
When facing mulitple opponents that are trying to kill your teammates there's plenty of times that you can use Hammer Slam without a stun and without being interrupted. You act like Pounce and Penitence, for example, aren't primary damage skills. If people are going to interrupt you it means the ability is so powerful it forces them to swap targets to you. I would agree that spit is more powerful than hammer slam, but I don't think that both skills need to be of equal stre
Hammer Slam aint hero killr skill more tower / small unit killer and boulder roll... well.... if youre good at bowling you might like it but it's worthless and spit naaah keep it as annoying as it is cause cmon dont make it TOO eassy the creature might have spit but without spit ore spit weaker the beast becomes a bit TOO weak cause for the rest.... it aint much stronger than the rest ORE you can see it as this and make this a newbie game... delete spit delete tower spamme
Well the money won't go anywhere General. It's highly unlikely they'll even try to collect when they said they would have been fine with 3-5k in the first place and when they no there's no way that women could ever produce that kind of money. Honestly Vivendi seems to have been pretty reasonable throughout all of it, the court is the party which acted irresponsibly. Maybe this case will draw attention to the letter of the law and spark some positive legislative changes.</p
Hey I just found a way better article on this: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=a9y16Zokxk90 It pretty much sums up all of my misgivings about the whole thing and fills in an important detail: Vivendi (the actual plaintiff) offered to settle for $3,000-$5000 before ever going to court, which is way more reasonable. Suffice it to say the story will proba
Even fragments are enough to be considered copyright infringement, so legally that shouldn't matter
How can you say this? Clearly it matters very much, it's the whole purpose of having a range of penalties, is it not? If just violating a law is the only prerequisite for her punishment why is there a minimum and maximum penalty in the first place instead of a fixed value? Putting aside any question of certainty over her guilt, what factors do you feel should a
The problem is that the award would be a gimme for anyone who played those characters. Why not just make it affect ALL absorbs, heals, and regen (ignoring overheal)? That way a damage dealer with lifesteal, proper gear, etc. would have a fair shot but a hero that is actively shielding and healing would still win the majority of the time.
taking non-selfish skills like permafrost or fire aura
I disagree here. Those auras still give you attack speed, mana
I don't really think that the solution needs to be so complicated, though perhaps you don't view it as a solution so much as an additional feature. Personally I don't think new units are necessary, though I'm not opposed to them per se. Your post is quite long so please pardon my picking and choosing a few points that are easiest to give feedback on: First off my problem with a lot of your unit suggestions is that ultimately it just increases the total number of units pres
