Still waiting on the Amplifiers!

Don'tcha love how cool, new games make us save cash and buy a new PC? Good luck!
I read on the website here that multiple GPUs can (will) be utilized even if not in SLI or Crossfire. I understand that may not yet be implemented, yet alone optimized. My question is whether this second, support, GPU has minimum specifications. As a gamer for years I have a lot of older hardware either barely in use or bagged up. I'm curious, for instance, whether there will be any DirectX or memory minimums. Is this primarily as a physics aid? If so, again, what kind of minimum sp
Try it without a pagefile. But there's still something odd going on. Do you have any old peripherals on USB or anywhere else that might have some old, crappy drivers? When you upgraded to Win10 did you go get all the Win10 drivers for your motherboard, etc.? Also, I would make sure I close EVERYTHING before I play the game. If it recurs I would then start removing things from startup. Sooner or later I'd boot up naked and then run the game.
Also, if/when you run into that message again, consult Task Manager. You can do that by right-clicking the taskbar and selecting Task Manager or hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and selecting Task Manager. Then select the Processes tab. At the bottom of that window should be a button that says Show processes from all users. Click it. The information is in columns. One of the columns will be labeled Memory. You can click on that column header to sort all running processes by the amount of memory they use. You
Sounds like you have a lot of other things running when you play the game. I really don't know Win10 but there should be something in Win10 where you can check what all loads at Startup. A quick Google search found this: http://winsupersite.com/windows-10/windows-10-tip-control-which-apps-and-services-run-startup. Start there and tell us what you see/change.
Ah, OK, I'll give that a try. Thanks, tkestler. I hope that opens up upgrades. The guide I read said something about putting Amplifiers on Power Generators to double output. It's the Gameplay guide on this site. Does anyone know how that's done? Thanks!
i7-920 OC'd @ 3.6Ghz 12GB RAM EVGA 980SC DX11 (still Win7-64): Interestingly, 38+FPS
I agree about the videocard. Upgrade to 2GB minimum video memory. 3GB better, 4-6GB best especially if you're looking to up the resolution of your display. Sweet little processor you have there. A little cooling with decent motherboard and memory and you should be able to cross 4Ghz easily.
Again, being a noob, I still know I've collected some radioactives. The UI shows metals and radioactives. There just is no such thing as either of these items on the Engineers' build tabs!
I know a couple of people that need keys - awesome and thanks!
I've scoured the Engineer's build UI as best I can - yes I'm new - but I can't find any option to build either a Research Matrix or an Amplifier as they are referenced in the Gameplay link here and the Stardock document it references ( https://stardock.cachefly.net/www_ashesofthesingularity_com-assets/game/gameplay/sde_quickstartguide_ashes-1019.pdf )
