Win10 compatibility issues for hardware over two years old or so is still a very real problem. Anything issued on Win8 is likely AOK. Anything that started on Win7, let alone XP or Vista back in the day, has a lot of potential issues based on mfr support and, barring any of that, Microsoft's debugged and compatible replacement drivers (no, that's not a joke about mutual exclusivity - or maybe it is). Most PC mfrs are recommending their users do NOT upgrade - at least yet. &nbs

+1 Haven't found a way to destroy units/buildings (or pause their production, which I've mentioned here). And do research logistics to increase your unit cap!
Personally, I have no issue with having to build Quanta research. It's, embarrassingly, what I'm used to (SC). I'm used to having to start putting resources into upgrades like that early in-game.
Make sure you've combed over your motherboard and/or PC mfr's website for Win10 drivers and updates - expressly chipset, etc. Glad you're working well.
If you're talking about unit behavior variations in-game, I would say that needs to be fluidic. Meaning, if I'm able to change unit type behavior and relationships I should be able to change it throughout the game. All that said, it's way beyond the level of control I am able to exert in-game. I'm just not good at micro-management to begin with. LOL I'm the kind of guy that shouldn't be a founder of this type of game for just that reason. I suck at the RTS genre. LOL B

I will keep my ears pricked up looking for issues!
I can't say that I have. But I've only run the DX12 benchmark once and, admittedly, walked away to let it do it's stuff. What's your build and settings?
you also have to have a minimal amount of virtual ram. It's 8GB PLUS virtual ram not 6 + 2GB of virtual ram. virtual ram is not RAM.
I'm curious. Where are you getting this requirement? I don't see it on the FAQ. And I can't imagine a game requiring someone have virtual memory, especially if they have plenty to support the game. Thanks.
Number 1 sounds like a driver problem. I would suggest downloading the latest nVidia driver for your GPU and operating system to your desktop or somewhere you can find it easily. Then I would download DDU: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html. Read all the directions for DDU first, before running it. Then run it per instructions. Then run the driver
While this could very easily be a game issue, I would suggest trying a different audio subsystem. USB headsets, for example, have built-in audio subsystems that would use their own electronics to process the sound and not what's baked into the motherboard or the add-in audio card. Also, the settings in the Sounds app in Control panel you can set the default format which includes sampling rate and bit depth. This is located on the Advanced tab of the Properties of yo

Love me some Frogboy...
Either I can't find this function in the UI or it's not implemented. I would like a button near the build queue that will allow me to pause production at that factory. Can anyone help me find it or confirm it doesn't exist? When hit hard or overextending it's nice to be able to tell a factory to stop production temporarily while I get my resources ironed (back) out. Make sense? Thanks!
Hadn't seen this yet. Thanks for posting!

I spoke too soon. I don't have any Ashes directory under My Games on Win7-64. I see folder structures for other games as I would expect. Where else might AoTS be keeping its settings.ini file?
Rock star! Thanks!
That is a very capable system build, thirdspace99. If you're running Windows 10, make sure you have the Windows 10 version of the chipset and other drivers for your system. Make sure that when you install the latest nVidia driver for your GPU that you're checking the "Clean Install" box. You might also try the DDU utility to remove all traces of any previous driver: http://www.guru3d.com/files-
As a lifetime member I have received one regular key. And thanks again, btw!
Thanks for the update! Looking forward to 0.63!
Skype, Edge, visual tweaks. All non-essentials then. I can wait to upgrade my main gaming rigs to Win10, still.
If the DX12 benchmark is any indication, one needs to be running Win10 with a DX12 compatible GPU. And if running such and running the benchmark one quickly finds that one needs to run a quad-sli 980 Ti setup to run the game on all high settings. ANY CPU is quickly minimized as GPU-bottlenecked until 3-4 of current top of the line GPUs are run in SLI or Crossfire. From what I can tell, anyway.
