Yes it shows an available version on SDC.....It'll let me down load it but then errors out when going through the install.....when I try to play the game(and it hangs at the loading screen) and says that I have version 0.95 beta 9

Thanks, you were correct....I installed Dx9. Now I can get to the game, and get though set up, but now when I start the game it crashes after trying to load for a few minutes. I have an older dell latitude..(500MHz)........I was hoping I wouldn't have to upgrade to be able to play this game.
When I try and start the game I get this error. "this application has failed to start because d3d9.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem" I've tried unistalling and reinstalling a few times with no luck. please help
I didn't notice anything in the beta2 improvements that mentioned the reduction in ship movement points that you start out with. I have to add 5 bonus points to ship speed at the begining of the game just to get my survey ship movement poits up to 3. >:(
I liked the fact that it would complete the current project when investigating an anomalie. It takes too long to research a tech the way it stands now. The competition blows me away in researching new techs. The anomolies where the equilizer.
