Optin has been updated.
I'm not seeing any difference. I did a verify files to try to force an update. Should the version number have changed? I'm seeing the same kind of thing: and:
As I reported on Discord, and was requested to report here, in several games I've played on 1.10 and most recently on 1.11, when I hit the escape key and then click on Victory Status, the window comes up with no victory type selected, and garbage characters (which I assume are variables that haven't been filled in) displayed, like this: Note that the text in the window is talking
Original post has been updated with a few more racial victories that I've verified. In my most recent game as the Iridium I won an Ascension Victory, which I thought had been removed from the game and replaced by the Prestige Victory. If the presence of the Ascension victory is legitimate and not a bug, there should be an achievement for it.
There are a couple of options you should check out at game start. One controls whether the planets of a civ that surrenders are destroyed or not. The other controls whether surrenders are allowed or not.
Old Spider, do you have any idea whether mods like this will eventually be able to be managed by the GC4 Workshop? As far as I know it currently only supports civilizations and ships, but it would be great if it could handle UI and other mods someday.
Thanks very much for the post and the mod, guys. gypsy isn't the only one with old eyes [e digicons]:D[/e]
There is a planetary upgrade (whose name I can't remember - something Elevator I think) that has the same problem. It says it increases decay when it should say decrease delay. And unlike the executive order described above, I'm not sure this upgrade does what it says, since the last time I used it the planetary tooltip showed the decay didn't change.
Turns out it was part of the technical glitches Twitter was having yesterday, not any kind of policy change. At least not yet.
Do you happen to have any trait or tech that gives you tactical repair? That repairs your ships in battle and can cause what you're seeing.
No need to fix do not move them onto a planet or starbase there is absolutely no need for it.
I was under the impression that ships healed faster in orbit of a planet/starbase/shipyard. Not that I've tried to measure it. Is that not so?
As Gypsy said, if you load your Mimots onto constructors, transports, and colony ships, then at least they won't continue to grow (as long as you don't colonize another core world with them). Make sure to send a colony ship with one of your own to that world to increase your own population growth rate there as you send your Mimots away. I for one don't often have a food problem, so I don't automatically exclude the Mimots as opponents. I do manually select my opponents when setting up
Confirmed in my own game that Reclaimed! works if Iconians take Iconia through invasion.
It sure would be nice if the display could be changed to show more digits so that it is obvious how much was found.
Agree.
Shouldn't the Scavenger mission return something?
I agree with your suggestion. However, as an alternative to your workaround of copying the existing civs, you might consider downloading civs from the workshop - there are a lot of them there.
Looking good.
Gotcha. You're talking about "surrendered colonies" which toggles whether "colonies transfer ownership upon surrender". I'd suggest that vaporizing the planets is a weird thing in this context, too. Along those lines, I could disable AI surrendering. I'm not sure what will happen with the "merge" bullet above but I'll start some new games and test. I used to like AI sur
Whether worlds of surrendering civs disappear or not is one of the game options and is not a recent change.
(I forget the name of the OS that Brad wrote the original version for)
OS/2. I loved that game.
Curious. I just completed a game as Xeloxi and the factions were fine. Hopefully the saved game will show the problem.
V1.10, when I try to explore a defended anomaly with a fleet composed of a survey ship with no weapons plus carriers (4 fighters each), I get this message: Apparently the carrier's fighters are being overlooked when the check is made for "attack ships".
Start up GC4. At the main menu, you should see 5 icons in the center at the bottom. The middle one is the workshop, click on it: Once in the workshop there are tabs for ships, civilizations, etc. Each entry has a down arrow in the lower right, click on that to download.
Fixed an issue where battle map markers remains forever if you save/load while they exist.
Hooray!
Personally, I wouldn't want to see any RTS combat elements in GalCiv IV. Turn-based gameplay with its chill pacing and lack of carpal-tunnel-inducing speed-clicking is too precious to throw away.
Agree!
