ObjectDock saves its settings on close, so next time you know you're going to shut down or restart, try closing ObjectDock and making sure it's fully shut down before restarting your computer. This will ensure the settings get written properly. Also, you can back up your settings from here:

There was an issue with our esupport system that was causing those emails to be sent at the wrong times, so I do apologize for that. If ever get one of those emails, it may be an indication that either your or our response may not have been received for one reason or another. You can always go directly through https://esupport.stardock.com/ using the email address you used to open the ticket, and the password that was included with

The download page is alphabetized, so v5 comes after 7, which could cause a mix up. If you want to install the latest version, I've made a handy guide:

Phoon: Just to clear up some confusion, the email you got was sent automatically by our system. When Aaron sent you an email on 8/10 letting you know we were still working on it, he put it On Hold. After two days, the system automatically sends the warning email, then automatically closes it. Zubaz wasn't entirely correct when he said that 'Closed' was what you had to worry about, as you can always reopen a ticket just by replying. I can tell you that we ha

Philly0381: I don't think that would cause this, as it would just tell him it's expired. It's possible the installer was corrupted. Follow Island Dog's advice with security software, uninstall/reboot, then redownload the installer to a different location and try again.

May take until after the weekend, as one of the go-to guys for this is getting Lasik pretty much as we speak, so once his eyes stop screaming from having lasers shot into them, we'll be able to figure out what's happening.
will Notepad++ play nice? as in not replace Notepad and not replace system files like object edit?
It definitely plays nice. I think you can even use it as a 'portable' app, which does absolutely nothing to your system beyond placing the program files.

I have created files that allow syntax highlighting for this that I use constantly, will there be no way to get this in the future?
I'm not sure, exactly, but the number of people that still use it is most likely extremely small, as most people have discovered Notepad++: http://notepad-plus-plus.or

DisturbedComputer: I'm sorry I missed your post, but I'm only one man. :/ I had someone take a look at it, and they fixed a few issues. Here's as much as I can give you about your list: Stardock Central Component Manager - You can safely ignore this. You have a registration on your account for it, so it shows up. It will most likely be removed soon. Object Desktop (S) upgrade/renewal with ObjectDock Plus - Ignore the link, it's jus
That brings up the Impulse archives. What do we do with those?
Technically, Impulse should be able to still restore them, as long as they're still uncorrupted. If you have the option of downloading the installers, though, I'd get those, as they're much more reliable, as well as being non-OS and non-account specific.
