I thought about trying a build similar to this, but I don't see where you have the mana to use all your skills effectively. You don't get that much out of towers if you have to save several hundred mana for roll+slam.

Sure they could use a buff, but multiple Yetis is best. Maybe have them summoned 1 at a time but have a cap, like Rook Towers but less damage (Rook Towers have range but can't move for chasing targets, and don't take focus-fire orders) and health (because you can't run in a full group of Rook Towers to tank & kill an enemy tower like a group of Yetis could do).

600 + probable assist(s) + gold you don't earn while dying = large gold differential Even if no experience was involved, that's very significant. They stay in the lane because they have monks and don't suck. They also hold more flags (warscore) until you're back in action (respawn + travel time).

I moved select all minions to R, select DG to V, and select all minions and DG to F. Too many nubs always moving their minions with their DG. I play Rook 95% of the time and Reg 5% of the time though... lol.
Tele amulet is a crutch for poor play. Early on rook should never have to run, his towers make him an utter and total beast. Later on, people mostly tele to the rook, not the other way around. Yes, you will buy and use tele scrolls a lot in a good team, but not enough to make up for the loss of Staff of Renewal or BoTF. If you find yourself using the tele amulet and teling a lot, just BUY MORE SCROLLS.
R
as you said... capture locks would be OP in this sort of circumstance. I do like the idea though. If this were to be implemented in the game capture locks would need to have a longer cooldown than its time of effect.
It's been discussed in a different thread why longer cooldown isn't a very good solution: you just have to coordinate with your teammates for the re-locking. There's other ways to nerf capture locks, like makin
i read a lot about how capture locks are to strong ... so why not a citadel upgrade that makes you get flags faster to neutral and faster to your side.
So ninjas could take and lock your portals faster, giving you less, or even not enough time to teleport in to stop them? No thanks.

6 Replies 1,944 Views

An upgrade that makes flags more resistant to capture by increasing the time it takes for an enemy to get them to neutral (since it wouldn't make sense for it to take more time for the enemy to capture a neutral flag). This would probably make capture locks even more powerful, so those should be nerfed or (preferrably, imo) removed completely.

Tele repulsion could easily be used to HELP people ninja stuff, so you can't teleport in to your own portals, and by the time you get there they have it capped and locked. They just need to fix re-locking.

@Derog Think of it this way: your teammates are even with their opponents, and you're 2 levels above yours. It's definately a winning situation. Having a level 10 skill before everyone else gives you a huge advantage in battle. Using it to level isn't about creep stealing; it's about killing creeps that would otherwise die without giving anyone on your team experience. I never touch Magus Rod. If you're using teleports and capture lo

I did read the whole thread. It does not start at level 5 "in full effect" because you listed Rook having towers, slam, 2x shoulder, and Boulder Roll. If he has all of those, towers and slam are both level 1 and not that big a deal. If they're teleporting on top of you and killing you that just means you've overextended yourself. Certain DGs should not go against the Rook if they're doing that, since they won't be able to deal with the towers without getting telestompe

I've had a UB stun hit me right after I teled. It doesn't bug me though. If you're low enough on health that something would kill you, you're usually teleing to a crystal, so by the time the projectile gets there you're healed enough to survive it anyways, so changing it not do do damage wouldn't make too much difference.

My bro goes teleportation ammy with Rook also. The problem is that half the DGs can easily interrupt your escape plan when they're ganking you. I think it's probably better to go with Swift Anklet tbh. You can actually run away when you see 2 DGs coming instead of trying to tele and getting interrupted. You don't get free teles for capping flags or helping a buddy, but at least you can keep pace with a DG trying to run away, which is very nice since you can g

You can go for a 3v3 fight (run around as a full team if they do so), or you can just sit way back behind towers whenever you know they're not spread out, and if they still go for someone, tele in when LE batswarms. If you have Oak, you should be able to win 3v3 easily; interrupt Mass Charm, and don't waste shield early.
