18. Ideology points aren't deducted when unlocking a trait, so far this has happened with those from Pragmatic. Also after upgrading Outreach Group to Mediation Center, I can build Outreach Group again on different planets. 19. The Alliance Focus specializations don't unlock anything. 20. The icon is missing for the tile
Rhonin_the_wizard
I've managed to make alliances, it is weird with the Krynn I made one the turn I made contact with them, and yet with the Altarians I still can't. It also took a few turns for option to appear for the Drengin. They don't seem to need to have the Alliance tech, only you do.
9. I can have more than one treaty with a civilizations, example I have two Cultural Treaties with the Iridium. 10. Revenue from treaties is not calculated corectly. 11. Trade
Thank you for reporting! Sorry to hear about the laptop overheating.
Laptop's old, I know I'll have to either buy a new one or a desktop, so long as I don't play for too long it will be okay. This didn't happen in Beta 1 even when playing for 5 hours straight. 8. Text display bug in the treaties screen when scrolling. <img src="http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/49863355650275776/C88E1D64A
5. More text not being displayed correctly, for the improvement Xeno Research Laboratory in the planet list. 6. Research Treaty unlocks Slave Brokering, 7. Text not displayed
Had problems getting the game to start, the loading times were abnormally long, after updating my drivers and several resets it went back to normal. 1. The text in the tooltip for some ideology traits isn't displayed properly. 2. The names of planets around stars with long names cover the planet quality level. <
It manages to start for me, but then it remains stuck at the loading screen. Will see if I have drivers that need updating. Edit: No, it still not working.
Looking forward to it.
When Beta 2 launches my goal will be to trade for as many of the other civilizations' unique techs as I can.
How will Crusades function? How will the Iridium's planet killer work? In diplomacy will we be able to trade for a future favor? Sort of like an I owe you.
Something that bothered me in GCII was that there was nothing to differentiate a colony based on how it was obtained. If you colonized it, culture flip it, bought it, invaded it or it was given as a result of a peace treaty, they would all behave the same. A solution I thought of is to use the approval system. colonies obtained by invasion would have a penalty to approval, that is if we don't commit genocide on the native population. Maybe this could be tied to
Loved the stream, can't wait for Beta 2. I saw a bug, in the Victory Screen Influence and Ascension have their goals mixed up.
So let's get this question out of the way, when will Beta 2 be released to the public? How will Crusades function? How will the Iridium's planet killer work? In diplomacy will we be able to trade for a future favor? Will there be events similar to the Dread Lords or Peacekeepers, by that I mean a very difficult opponent that would be a challenge to mid and late game civs?
One of those unanouunce game could be Star Swarm. we looked at the frame rate of it and it uses the Nitrous engine for use of many ships at once
Star Swarm is a tech demo, not a game.
According to this article the game to be revealed today is in the fantasy strategy genre, most likely this is E2015. Also they posted this picture from an unannounced game.
The battle viewer will be added in Beta 3, scheduled for December. You will be able to view battles, but not interfere after they start, only give orders before they begin.
Why must you do this to me Stardock? Hasn't my wallet suffered enough? Edit: So the 7 games Stardock has in development are: Galactic Civilizations III Offworld Trading Company Star Control reboot E2015 new IP RTS new IP new IP
This happened to me in a game I started before a patch and then continued after the patch went live. Star a new game and see if this still occurs.
Try starting a new game and see if this still happens.
Well for one thing to review a game on Steam you need to own it, so that helps. By the way how are you getting those scores for Steam? It's only recommended or not recommended. As for the new update for the most part I like it. I'd wish the curator part was lower on the page, an easier way to go from the game's page to it's forums, it still recommends some games that are in my wishlist, and to have a list of the games I marked as not interested, I think most of them ar
Something like The Last Federation ? Seems interesting, but only the devs would know if it's feasible. As Gaunathor mentioned in terms of ancient civilizations there are only the Arnor and Dread Lords. Of course there are also the Mithrilar, namely Draginol and Mascrinthus,
Just stumbled across this on the Steam forums: One interesting side note that you are probably noticing: Soren Johnson (designer of Civ IV) and Dorian Newcomb (lead artist on Civ IV - I think, might have been Civ V) are working with Stardock at a new studio called Mohawk and have been helping us. At the same time, Jon Shafer (desi
I'd prefer it for Steam, thanks for the chance.
32. Same problem with the traits Mindfulness and Beacon. 33. The Enlightenment trait gives nothing.
I prefer how terraforming worked in GCII. It was easier to tell which tiles could be terraformed and results were easier to achieve. In GCIII it is rather hard to tell which tiles can be made usable, and until the last tech terraforming is rather useless since each tech only allows you to terraform one tile. As such there is no point to invest in terraforming instead of the other techs. I am not really fond of being forced to choose an ideology when I have the points required, fo
