I have tried the Z-axis movement but it does not work. First i mapped the Z-axis to the Z key.I have tried it with the build of a Gauss defense platform. Just as Teun-A-Roonius explained Z-axis mapped key, holding alt, scrollwheel just zooms in and out...where do i go wrong?
No idea... It used to work in Trinity that way. [e digicons]:S[/e]
Advent rebel seem to be the most picked race out of the tec and advent factions. Iwouldnt call that, "advent got worse".
Well that's mainly because of that tech that increases shield regeneration with 100% and the fact that their titan has this overpowered Chastic Burst ability. Other then that, they are still a bit weak compared with the other races.

You have to manually bind the Z-axis function to a key (for rebinding a key, go to the game's main menu and head over to the Controls panel). Hold alt when placing a structure (or assigning ship movement), then press the key you used for the Z-axis and use the scrollwheel of your mouse to change the position of the structure in the gravity well. Once you found the desired spot, just press the left mouse button like you would normally to give the order.
2) While ships will sometimes move in the z-axis (which is more annoying than anything else) its currently not something you can do with building structures AFAIK. Also I'm pretty sure changing this would be difficult if not impossible given the way the game determines structure placement eligibility (ie whether a strucutre is in the way of building something else).
It is possible to place structures differently using the Z-axis. Yet hard

The Fortifiers do some fleet work, and the Economists and Researchers are rofl-stomped as they have only a 200-400 supply fleet late game.
Actually the economist AI seems to build the largest fleets as far as I have experienced. They seem to invest even more in fleet supply than the Agressor AI.

Another problem is the Advent Rebel titan, - I'm not even mentioning its Unyielding Will ability - of which Chastic Burst is extremely overpowered. I mean seriously, I was attacking a level 5 Eradica with 60 LRM frigates, backed by numerous Hoshiko's and a bunch of flak to counter some drone hosts, and that thing literally tore the whole fleet to shreds just with that ability. I was sure 280 worth of fleet supply should have done the trick, but I was sorely mistaken. I think a nerd to

Also, if you ordered your strike craft to attack manually, they will return to the position they were at when you gave them your last attack order. So when the whole gravity well is cleared of hostile ships and structures, the strike craft will remain motionless somewhere in the gravity well, until their carriers phase jump to the next well or until you order them to dock. They are probably trapped in phase space though like Pb already stated.

The number of desynchs has been greatly reduced. You may encounter a mini dump sometimes though, yet the source of some mini dumps has already been determined and they will most likely be resolved in the next patch. There are about 300-500 people online at any given time right now, which is probably for a large part thanks to Steam. I'm sure you will enjoy the greatly increased activity on ICO.

I have always wondered what would happen if the Vasari Loyalist titan would spawn a Phase Stabilizer on a star. Gamecrash? Wonder if anyone tried it yet...
Ban Visari from your games, problem solved until 1.03 comes out.
In a lot of multiplayer matches, the players commonly agree to play without Vasari for the sake of balance. It would be very nice to see the Vasari nerfed in the upcoming balance patch, so we can play with them without feeling overpowered.
