Cumulative updates are coming to Win 7 and 8.1. No pick and choose anymore. If you want security updates you will get "other" updates too. At least those versions are stable and supported for 10 years. I don't see how a rolling release model fits in a production environment. Even if the OS doesn't break, it can break other stuff (like webcams or Kindle...) or third party software. Microsoft needs to focus on developers, businesses and consumers instead of tweaking Windows 10.

My understanding is that MS is "upgrading" Outlook.com and killing DeltaSync protocol in the process. The application Windows Live Mail has not been touched as far as I know. It still works fine with other protocols like IMAP. So WLM still works fine with gmail, yahoo and other IMAP accounts. You can still use MS accounts (outlook, live, msn and hotmail acounts) if you connect thru IMAP. However I would advice against it. So I updated my testrig to AU (yes, I am a real daredevil always living on the edge). Seems not much has changed. Everything seems to work including WB and Start 10. My clock now shows weekday which looks horrible (only Lantana skin). But hey MS gave me Windows To Go in Pro version. This was an Enterprise only feature before. MS also let me keep both Spybot Anti-Beacon and Ccleaner. I also got 30 apps that I didn't have before, because I had uninstalled most of them.

I think Windows 10 makes me sad because I don't "understand" it. The truth is Windows 10 makes me feel old. I don't see the value of these new features for regular mouse/keyboard users. I bought a new monitor with IPS panel and LED backlighting (HP EliteDisplay E242). Picture quality is very nice. Picture also seems stable without flickering. However my eyes became tired. Process Explorer does what I want it to do and is very lightweight. You don't install it, but can set it to start at boot-up/log-in. Ccleaner can manage start-up applications. I had to find a replacement for the new Windows Task Manager since it won't start minimized to systray when Windows starts. Windows 7 Task Manager was OK, but Process Explorer is better.
