there should be a little program called LSTS.exe in your $LiteStepDir$. i prefer LSCP.exe (same directory), also has a theme switcher.
try to use the magic pink with an image that has the same height as the bitmap in the original Luna shellstyle.dll
it was about the pay concept of this site. there are quite a few excellent skinners that don´t submit here for exactly this reason. go out a little more. else you´ll miss plenty of awesome stuff. TIP: here´s one of the very best CursorXP schemes. http://www.deskmod.com/?show=showskin&skin_id=25385 (not available here)
two more things: - think about getting rid of the glass in the bar unless this is for your personal use only. in different languages the horizontal stretching is different and will most probably have an effect on the right end of the glass. - do the rollup button after you got the bar finished. msstyles supports per-pixel alpha-transparent PNGs for this (no clue about WB here). if WB also supports PNGs i´m pretty sure Renato will help you out with some Photoshop sources.
kthxbye: yep, correct. Luna has a lot of images that get stretched. not only in the shellstyle, but also on the window borders. makes msstyles skinning a little more complicated that WB.
yep, Dokt is perfectly right. it´s the "best of the best" what might confuse people. the wallpaper library is far from that.
"but you sacrifice a bit when you don't build from src. " that´s exactly the same in Windows.
you did put it into the wrong config file. delete the two lines from c:\litestep\step.rc and put them into c:\litestep\themes\simplicity\step.rc maybe a good idea not to use the whole desktop area for the screensaver.
as with any other program on your system: put at shortcut to it into the "Startup" folder in your start menu.
you can do this with LiteStep. use saver.dll to display the screensaver on your desktop. if you still want to be able to click on the desktop to get your popup menus. use zorder.dll to make sure your desktop module layer is above the saver layer.
very cool guess they found out it´s much easier that way than programming some UNIX interfaces as they did in the past. have to add LiteStep was first in the movies: http://www.shellscape.org/default.scape?st=183 oh, and FOX network has ripped [morph]´s [noir] litestep theme for their "24" show. it´s a rip because they did not show a screenshot of the theme running, but did an ugl
paxx: "somehow" elected ... the voting at this time can not really be called democratic, as the radical parties had rather big militias that took influence in the voting process. also the NSDAP did not get the absolute majority, but also needed a smaller national-conservative party (DNVP) to elect Hitler as chancellor. i still love this thought by R. A. Wilson Perils of Cocaine Abuse Two recent political leaders allegedly had this nefarious habit.
caeonics: seems like a lot of US citizens know foreign policy only from Tom Clancy novels
aren´t a lot of people in the US living in trailer parks? not really a high standard of living in my eyes ...
and still Norway has a lower crime rate and less poverty than each of them
guess i leave the party then. long ago i drank something of Bob´s beer anyway. if Bob keeps complaining to his guests every five minutes he shouldn´t wonder why he gets never invited to parties ...
who cares about Bob´s SuperBowl party. LiteStep.net is back
i can´t stop smiling since the last hour. what skinz.org was to a lot of people was ls.net for me. now it´s back ... probably somebody else should post a less biased news article.
yes, most probably HTML. you can also do this with LiteStep´s lsxcommand module (but that´s more complicated for newbies). i don´t think any Stardock software can do this and as this site is pretty much a "Stardock ghetto" you will probably not get much answers here. for HTML on the desktop related questions i suggest to ask at Custo http://www.customize.org
guess that´s Jafos´s chance to become the Jerry Falwell of LiteStep i agree with crae, there would probably not be much interesting stuff for me, but i´m looking forward to watch it.
i have a little application that minimizes all windows on my hd somewhere. it doesn´t minimize Sysmetrix here, seems to have problems with some windows that use a multi document interface. send me an email, if you want to give it a try.
try LiteStep instead. has a nice module that has the same functionality as "show desktop" (showdesk.dll)
135 and i´m a "Visual Mathematician". guess that means i failed at all the language related questions
