i guess that site is run by Stardock to catch users that want to ThemeXP. it is deep-linking to WinCustomize, so actually this site may be responsible for a lot of bandwidth trouble. so Stardock is causing troubles for Wincustomize. strange isn´t it? if this site is not run by Stardock the situation will be even worse.

but all this alpha-transparency will only work in 2000 or XP. not in 98. the only program that supports alpha-transparency under Windows98 is Rainlendar (Rainy rocks )

Mormegil: yes, you can do all this in windows. as Aleatoric said you can also zip them. TAR is just the more common format. if you want to upload them at any Linux site, have a look at the submission policies there. the old themes.org did not accept ZIP files, but this may have changed in the meantime. looking forward to see your icons on my Linux box.

that will be pretty easy. Linux uses alpha-chanelled PNG as icon format. just create a directory structure with the common resolutions 16x16, 24x24, 32x32, 48x48 and 64x64. you can also make folders for the higher resolution. the Nautilus file manager & the Gnome desktop will support higher resolutions. will be helpful when the size folder would contain sub-folders for apps, devices, mimetimes, etc. download an icon set from http://www.kde-look.org/ or http://sunshineinabag.co

for the log in delay problem in XP scroll down this page of the LSFAQ: http://lsfaq.shellfront.org/xpprob.html what theme are you using, that looks incomplete? sure Talisman has to be user friendly. they charge money for it, so if it would be rather stupid if they would make a program that is hard to use

Ceeslans did a very nifty scripted and felxible (what else could you expect from him ) LiteStep theme, that comes as one of the default themes with the LSDistro distribution. btw: the graphics Russ uses in his HoverDesk theme are pretty much all by MorpheusX (just to give credit where it is due) Ceeslans also sent me a matching EzPop (old version) (by MorpheusX) and QuickNotes (by Russ) s

well, i guess it´s not here because MorpheusX never uploaded it. DeviantArt probably didn´t exist when the skin was done. nobody knows what happened to MorpheusX. it´s one of the biggest unsolved mysteries of the LiteStep scene. btw: did you know there is also a second great WB skin there (by MorpheusX and Misery): http://joeblade.com/litestep/morpheusx/news0899.html scroll down the page to find it. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/joke.gif" border=0 ALIG

you can find them right here. just browse the WindowBlinds category, there should be quite a few skins that will match your taste. for a complete (very sexy) set of skins you might want to have a look here: http://www.chosenos.tk/

does PNG really support animations? i don´t think so. i guess these "animations" are just PNGs that are tiled to show the frames of the animation. so i think every image editor that can handle PNGs should be good for that.

joetheblow: LiteStep is not only free, it is Open Source as well. LiteStep is an excellent program, it is a replacement shell. it will replace explorer.exe that is your usual shell (desktop, start menu, taskbar, shortcuts, systray, ...). it is the most advanced desktop, you could imagine. there are literally hundreds of modules for it and combined with scripting, you can do everything you can imagine. big disadvantage: LiteStep is configured with text editing and not the usual MS point and click

so if a Pixtudio skin get´s ripped to StyleXP that´s a good thing, because more people will pay for the Winamp skin. not really ... an Aqua WindowBlinds skin will only gain more customers for StarDock, not for Apple. i agree with you that OS ports/rips are not as bad as rips inside the community, and i also think that Apple is acting a little strange here. but in my eyes it would have been just fair if the one (company or person) that invented it would have gotten the chance to rel
