they have to protect their trademark. it´s as simple as that. remember, all those Aqua skins were available before OSX. quite rude in my eyes.

yes please tell us for wich application the theme is: DesktopX, HoverDesk, LiteStep, .... if LiteStep please tell us what module is displaying the time (there are dozens). not very helpful, but i will promote one of my favorite apps here. how about a calendar on your desktop? Rainlendar is an excellent program, that i (and even my totally anti-computer friends) use permanently: http://gamma.nic.fi/~rainy/Rainlendar.html
otherwise you will have to edit the icons and use fake transparency. will of course only look nice with plain backgrounds.
LiteStep as well
one of my favorite skinners is Essorant. he has some really nice colorful skins. check here to see them: https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?authorid=444
and imagine they´ll send you an alpha build of that car without working brakes.
Dave McKean and Enki Bilal are my favs. on mangas i only like Otomo (who did Akira) and i´m not interested in any super heroes at all.
Delusional´s site is currently not working. you can also get Shell-On from here: http://www.shellfront.org/utils/
i´d prefer free pizza (salmon and rucola for me please) as well if you want a free desktop customization program than get LiteStep. if you have the time to learn and are intelligent enough to understand it (it was fun for me, and it is still fun as LiteStep at the moment is probably one of the fastest progressing apps of the open source scene), you will have a better program anyways. if yo
i guess you have used Omar´s LiteStep Installer to install LiteStep. this version of LiteStep supports a directory/theme format called OTS. have a look at a theme´s description before you download it, it is usually stated when it´s compatible with that standard (most newer themes are). of course you can get older themes running as well, but that needs some tweaking from your side. i suggest to only use OTS compatible themes first and then, after you get used to LiteStep and re
well my problem is that SkinStudio refuses to work without crashing every two minutes and my idea of that WB lite would have a new more logical code, so it can be done easily edited with a text editor. also there would be no point releasing a not even half-executed skin for WB and without the comments it wouldn´t be that fun. doing a whole skin without help from SkinStudio is just not worth the effort for me (call me lazy, but i did that once for Blacksteel and i know what i´m talking a
i would really like some kind of WB lite, that only skins the window borders and the caption buttons. would be fun to skin for me.
as they are iconists, they do graphics. at least for me nothing is more ergonomical than the default windows or linux (the look pretty much as the mac) cursors, so i guess a lot of them just is not interested in creating things they won´t use for themselves.
drag the win or mac icon onto Iconshop. choose to view only one size (48x48 or whatever). right click it to export it as alpha transparent TIFF. now you can work with it in any graphics editor. do not upload Zoomer objects anywhere without approval of the icon creator.

just found a nice set of football player icons including Ronaldo on an old Mac site (mac format so you´ll have to convert): http://www.dive-in.to/%7Eh2/ill.html
very true. look at the "completed" visual styles threads in the neowin forums. half of the post there are bug reports. i really doubt ms wants to support such things.
create the icons in Photoshop (or whatever). save theme as TIFF files (if you want alpha transparency then make a TIFF with alpha-channel). put all the different sizes of one icon (16x16, 32x32, ...) into one folder. drag that folder onto IconShop. select all files you want to have in the *.ico file. right click to merge them. right click to "save as". done. and IconShop is free
congrats. Germany played it´s best game during the World Cup and Brazil still won. so you really deserve it. that ronaldo icon is great
the skins are from the Universemetal suite by Pixtudio. www.pixtudio.com the wallpaper is by Blue Sky Heart Graphics. www.blueskyheart.com
did somebody mention that it´s cool to use GIMP with a WB theme that has an on-top button
yes, you need the installer. the update only replaces the gimp.exe file, not the other stuff. also the installer will install GTK for windows. GIMP uses this for it´s GUI widgets (scrollbar, butons).
thanks a million for all your wonderful skins. hope you will be back before christmas and make us all a little present
what kind of theme? LiteStep, HoverDesk, DesktopX .... ?
