so when will the beta changes be released?
i think i read somewhere that the game engine only checks for damage once every second, so even if you made the duration and cooldown less than 1 second it would still only apply damage once per sec?
is it ok if i just download and apply the 2.2 patch directly without getting 2.1? edit: it appears not. looks like i'll need to do evreything over again except with 2.1 before 2.2....
i think jumping between stars takes too long, i sent a scout to a star in a 3-star random map and 5 minutes later i checked and it still hadn't arrived
if you thought sins was the only example of that type of gameplay, you are quite wrong, Hegemonia was I think a closer match, it came out in 2002, an awsome game, in many ways a precursor to sins (almost like sins was a sequel to this game) some of the things the game got right: the 3rd D, it had true 3d movement like HW the sense of a breathing comerce underneath what you where doing (civie ships, salvage teams, kinda got the f
i actually downloaded the game from impulse with my cd key because the cd was broken, then uninstalled after updating because i don't like content delivery either i temporarily installed it again later to fix a glitch though - described here
recently ive been going directly for carriers, then 5 labs and destras. i just don't see any point in using illuminators over destras once theyre researched.

is it worth it to not put a trade port at a certain planet just to avoid breaking the trade route?
you don't need to have a pact researched to accept it if the ai offers it to you
It's a great idea. Unfortunately, trying to get other online players to d/l and install the mod is like trying to herd cats. If someone would make an auto-installer file for it, then maybe I could get players to use it.
tbh i don't really think it would be a good thing if people started using it online, it would prevent them from playing with people who prefer checksum 0, like me
well, ea allowed cnc3 to die with lack of support and made a ridiculous sequel, so i can see where he's coming from
this mod is excellent, i got it quite a while ago and the game sounds much better now
i really don't like overdone "physical" aspects of rts, namely micromanagement and twitch. imo those belong in the fps genre. to me, cnc3 is a nice balance between actual strategy and "reflexes"
i think the most glaring problem with the ai that needs fixing are its behavior with light carriers i do agree that it's unlikely that a new patch will come out i would prefer a sequel
i actually detest the concept of halo prequels. halo 2's plot was by far the best and entailed characterization of the previously faceless antagonists. it went downhill from halo 3. i was never interested in halo reach from the moment it was announced because a) i knew it would be h3+graphics and some extras and b ) the plot was destined to be lame.
what are the min specs for playing sc2 on highest settings?
i want to see a real-time damage system also, i don't like being forced to download a content delivery program just to get patches for the game. what's wrong with updating directly through the game with the cd key as verification?
well, they could find a game that focuses more on economics
i don't think economic management should figure in to the game that much sins is a combat oriented rts and should remain that way
I lost interest in halo after the third game halo 2 will always be the best one
starcraft 2 would melt my computer
i think it would be nice if you could tell trade ships to stop or continue on their route, because they inexorably run into enemy gravity wells and get killed
what's the point of deceptive illusion besides clearing mines? its easy to tell that its an illusion just by reading the infocard ("abilities disabled"), so...
