Yeah, they've already stated there will be a unit limit per stack/battle. I think it's 10. Should be implemented soon.
Well, that makes some of what I wrote in the last post a little redundant. But I don't know, maybe mods would be partially free of the unit restriction (ie. maybe have up to 50% more units). But maybe not. Best regards, Steven.

I strongly agree with the thoughts expressed in this thread. [e digicons]k1[/e] to each Basically, one epic battle wins you the game or finishes you off ie. Stacks of Doom = a little bit boring. I think a good solution would be you could only have a certain "customizable" number of "units" on the one square - ie. single unit is considered to be a standalone unit, *OR* "squad" or whatever size of group you have capacity for via Warfare Research. So once you have
Quoting edpfister, reply 17I'm not sure why but if I'm not mistaken Brad said that we wouldn't see the final UI in the public beta. Seems like something you would want feedback on so I'm not sure what the thought process is but it's disappointing. Game feels clunky and hard to test currently. Just thought you should know. Thanks for the info! It would be somewhat disappointing.<
quoting postWe’re going to hold off adding significant new features until we’re happier with the stability. Good! I have severe lagging problems with Beta 3 However may I suggest you take opportuny from this 'time-out' in new features to improve the UI like you want? (it's not really a feature I would say) It's gonna be much easier later to test the new features with UI streamlined and fully

The original American Declaration of Independence was made from hemp. [e digicons]:star:[/e] And I wonder how all those boats in the early days of sailing were able to explore all round the world if their sails wore out like cotton wears out? [e digicons][/e] No, we had much more durable materials in those days. Best regards, Steven.
So, unique not-direct-damage spells, eh? What I have been thinking about for the past week, but not really fleshed out, is a new book. We have summoning spells already, though I have not really been able to explore what is in the game at this point (CTD, bug, CTD, ad nauseum). What I have been thinking about is a Book of Transformations. Rather than (probably) costing a lot of mana and potentially essence, transformations instead cost

If Stardock is riding on this game, whether the game elements "gel" and are interesting and risk/reward ratio is reasonably balanced is very important. After all, even if a game has extensive and intuitive modding tools, the basic game itself has to be at least solid and inter

Well, I did not know that it has been tried adfinitum. I have only been on a Stardock web-site a short time. Which is the reason for the miscommunication I think. I'm wondering, why does Stardock not place a higher importance on the quality of their own forums, when it seems that they place a high emphasis on the quality of their games? Best regards, Steven.

I think this is a good idea. [e digicons]k1[/e] IMHO it's seriously worth considering, at some stage in development or post-release. If it's feasible, it might be worth checking it out. Best regards, Steven.

Oh, let's just be totally cynical then. Seriously! It will work! Yes we can! We can encourage a great game by shooting down in flames anyone who has a different opinion to us! Seriously! It will work! Yes we can! Best regards, Steven. PS: I never said it would be a subscription, or that it would pay for the whole cost. Seriously though (real seriously, not this fake stuff) do you think that the current state of the forums is a goo

Complaining about poor forum stability and requesting better forum and forum servers is not trolling. I don't believe I've been to a forum for a long time that has this much instability and downtime and so many posts of people telling the administrators that the forums are acting up. Personally I think it would be cool if people could pay a bit extra on top of the cost of the game and contribute to an ultra-reliable, always-on forums system. Maybe people could pay $5US ext

This was a big reason why Civ 4 -> Civ 5 means a shift from squares -> hexes. I must admit I was a bit disappointed that 1. Elemental uses squares, and 2. diagonal movement (going through the corners) cost the same as going through the sides. Basically, having squares, and equal cost for diagonals and side movement, means that the risk/reward ratio is not really balanced (extra vision and scouting ability for no extra movement cost). (Why would you go by the sides when you c

The truth is, while it might not be a case of "the common man vs. corporate greed" TM, it is also not a case of "everything corporations and government do is honest and above board" TM. The truth is somewhere in the middle. I think Stardock is a great company, and is a huge example of games and fan association done *right*. Oh, and less DRM. [e digicons]5*[/e] Best regards, Steven.
