Wow... sounds great. Bomber spam was the biggie back when I was around. 90+ bomber squads meant GG, especially against the AI. Great to hear that bombers, and the Titans, are now in better places. Might have to try this out again :)

Hey all, I have been away for a fairly long time. I was a big player when Rebellion was in development but fell away with a few others when it was announced the game would require Steam. I am thinking of coming back but one of the reasons I fell away was because the game felt quite unbalanced and the Titans were looking to worsen that problem. So here is my question. Has it improved? Have some of the balance issues that seemed to perpetually plague the game been solve

One, very blood-thirsty level 6 Marza in the middle of that swarm would be the most epic thing ever. If it could survive the first few volleys then then it wouldn't just be like a wolf among chickens... more like space guinea pigs in a giant industrial space blender. I've seen it done in smaller numbers with Missile Barrage and how it eats them alive, but, 100 packed into a small area would be worth filming,.

The reason TEC have all the AOE attacks as it seems to be their theme. Look at how the cookie crumbles: Advent Faction, that when mature, can field ships of nigh invulnerability and excellent Synergy. Ability Defense Examples: Shield Restore, Vertigo, Energy Absorptive Armour, Shield Projection, Telekinetic Push Ability Synergy Examples: Amplify Energy Aura, Concentration Aura,&nb

The other issue that I haven't heard anyone talk about is the fact that once you buy a game that requires Steamworks, you are required to have Steamworks installed on a computer forever more if you still want to play that game. Plenty of people here installed and (used to) use Impulse before GameStop (rarely such an apt name for a company than Game Stop ) and were thus already required, at least some of the time, to have Impulse installed. Now lets take th

No doubt from either the military of whatever nation has superpower status at the time or the porn industry. If we have learned anything about ourselves since the rise of civilization, its that we like killing each other and having /watching others have sex (potentially involving robots) more than most things. I shudder to imagine what the latter might produce, but it would put the real terminators of the future in a much more amusing, if not disturbing,

Well this is what Bioware said following the criticism: "Exec Producer Casey Hudson and the team are hard at work on a number of game content initiatives that will help answer the questions, providing more clarity for those seeking further closure to their journey”. I dunno if its just me but that just sounds like new expansion packs and more games to buy rather than fixing the issues in the game ME3. May answer some questions but will probably still lea

Try Unfair or especially Cruel. In diplomacy, at least, you won't have to worry about fleet being a bit too small. Or, if you do, Try Vicious on a medium sized map, single star. I guarantee those novaliths will become a problem real fast :P

Yea Vasari don't need one at all. It takes at least 90 bomber squadrons from Advent or TEC to do what 50-60 Vas bomber squads can do when focus firing on a star base. Phase missiles and high multipliers against structures make Vas bombers by far the best structure busters in large numbers due to the fact they are also, you know, useful for killing things that move.

Oh god... been watching these on and off all afternoon. Their British accents make this beyond hilarious. Gotta love the pro-tip to not shoot at siege frigate because they don't do any damage. HMS Big Winner Kol was awesome as well. Would to see more n00b replays as it is just so rare. I know I am a terrible person, but I would die laughing watching a competition of 1v1's where Kols and Dunovs are first choices and both hide behind walls of turrets. It

The reason I and some others named the Vas Loyals 'Imperialists' is because the Vasari Loyalists are still loyal to the old Vasari Empire, its ideals (kill and oppress) and the ideals that developed when they fled the old empire (run like f^%k while gathering as much as you can). The Vasari Rebels are going all hippy on them and therefore even if they are building more of a structural empire, it is harder for us (and themselves) to picture the Rebels as the true descendants of th

Simply Vasari Imperialists would be fine for their loyalists and I like the sound of Advent Fundamentalists. Or maybe one of the Advent factions could be Advent Zealots? That could be fitting with either. But I do love Apostates. Great word.

Indeed. The reason why there is little response on this topic is that the devs have already told us the situation. "Yes we know its a bit of a sellout and it will cause a number of our older clients to see red and bleed a little out of their ears... but... but... money, mmmm money." Which is fair enough, most would do the same in their position. But I also understand why they wouldn't want to participate in too many of the threads about it.

I agree. Its a systemic problem down to the core. As someone said earlier, its the best basis for a system we have, but oh boy does it need some changes.

All of those things. Sinperium, are rare and gone once used. Note that I still consider piracy theft and that its not fair for the user to take for free what he hasn't earned. However, its not fair to expect someone who has been born in poor conditions and works a hard life deserves as much blame as someone who can't afford to eat cavier or drive DB9's as someone said a couple pages back. Not black and white.
