Then you can continue to use your games without dealing with GameStop. If your are worried about credit card numbers, they disapear from the servers 24 hours after the payment goes through.

In Hebrew, the "Left" hand word (closest to left margain) becomes the Right hand one.... Does Hebrew Windows read R to L or L to R?
It likely is direction agnostic. The R to L and L to R thing is generally handled by the Text Drawing API and the data is the same either way.

Impulse was a profit maker, but if you can get a substantial cash payout and focus the business on its core things, that can turn out well. Fundamentally Impulse isn't core to what Stardock does.
However in teh 2010 Consumer Report it stated Impulse made more money that their other business interests.

About the only way to prevent there from being an optimal tech path (or at least one that is so good it does not really make sense to do otherwise) is to randomize the tech tree like in Sword of the Stars. It can be mitigated by making the punishment for deviating less (meaning do not cause the cost of researching to be based on the number of techs aquired).

The discussion about whether GalCiv II or Distant Worlds is best will be meaningless once Sword of the Stars II comes out in September. Though I think SotS is the best right now as it has the Morrigi.

In regard to SotS, I would say the reason it is hard to get use to the map is because it is different from mosst other games rather than being baddly done (though it could use some work, and it sounds like they will be ironing out the last quirks for the second game). Now that I have wrapped my mind around it I would say it is better for a game like SotS that the systems used by other games.

The key to a great builder game is to have good ways for the player to measure how well they are doing. The three that best apply are: - Profit Margine (duh) - Competetors - Chance of Failer (either bankrupcy or your side looses the war and the victors are not pleased with you) A better idea than *just* a ship builder would be a corprate sim game is space (with military gear manufacturing being one of the main ones), where building ships

They really should avoid comparing it to any game that currently exists, and just stick to saying what it is like. And it needs magic equipment that also acts as NPCs, and lots of ponies.
