Well, there are some assholes online, no doubt. Like every online gaming community, we have our share of rude people. However, while the form in which they made you leave is totally unacceptable, you should understand it's a team game that relies on balance. One player having virtually no MP experience on the team will, in all seriousness, mean that team will lose. The solution? For the moment, host your own games (preferably entitled "noobs") or just join "noobs only" sessi

Quick test results. Standard Pacov (tm) settings. UB (human)/Sedna/QoT v UB (AI)/Sedna/QoT The findings: (1) I think the upgrade priorities+timing are now correct. FS1 at warscore 700+, XP1 at warscore 1400+, Cur1 at warscore 1700+. So far, so good. (2) Monk management is much better than in v25n, but still faulty. I ended up with no monks (neither was I sent any afterwards) after I died once, while enemy Sedna was observed running around with 4 (!!!) m

Look, you've made yourself clear enough. You don't like this game and you don't like the community. So you are fascinated by this forum's design, I take it? Otherwise, it's hard to comprehend what exactly makes you waste your precious time and energy here.

Also, I get the feeling that you guys are testing this with different AI difficulties. We were testing with Normal AI, not Nightmare. However, the difficulty settings are consistent throughout both Pacov's and my tests (I based my settings on the tests we did together and his testing log).

Quick test on v25n. Standard test settings as per previous posts. UB (human) / Sedna / QoT v UB (AI) / Sedna / QoT The findings: I wanted to run the test with two generals and one assassin on each team to see how it works. QoTs on both teams quite altruistically gave one monk to UB and one monk to Sedna, thus running with no monks at all, while Sednas were sporting an impressive retinue of 3 monks. After the monks died and were resummon

Well, maybe that's an over-generalization on my part, and since I'm no artist like you, my evaluation is just amateurish :) I liked HoN's design a great lot, and LoL's D&D-like art didn't strike me as offensive, either. A bit generic: yes, you are probably right.

You wouldn't be this agressive Oh, you poor thing! You're so sweet and innocent! Coming into a game and telling the host he's a retard because the connection lags slightly, then ragequitting, then joining the next game session like nothing at all happened, being all cocky and arrogant, then bitching on the forums about how Stardock and GPG made a crappy game and stole your hard-earned money from you. And we are the ones</spa

Actually, it is a bit more complicated. For Sedna (and Sedna only) the priority of Monk, Cleric, High Priest, Bishop minions should be set in strictly ascending order. Provided we'll get the monk sharing routine implemented: in games where both Sedna and another general are present, Healing Wind II mechanics dictate Sedna should ideally get only High Priests (not Bishops!), while the other general should get Bishops. Overall, where 2 generals are present, they sh

LoL and HoN are extremely primitive (though the art design is nice) DotA clones. DotA is... Well, DotA. With all due respect, being built on pure RTS engine, it's not completely adequate to the goal it tries to achieve. Demigod is by far the best of the action RPG/RTS genre as far as gameplay is considered. But it's useless to argue with you rationally, I guess... You'll just go once again into your pseudo-expert stance [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] Concerning the comm

Well, when I see a good game I don't mind "wasting my time" on it. I began playing Demigod a month and a half ago. In my opinion, it is one of the best (if not the best...) games I've played in recent years. Superb art design, intelligent deceptively simple mechanics, diverse characters, highly nuanced teamplay. What's not to like? It's not perfect, but definitely very very good.

As I know? All I know is you quit immediately after I killed you. Not a minute before or after. This psychological phenomenon is commonly known as "ragequitting". While the lag during that game was being felt, the game was far from being unplayable. Since it's p2p connection, the lag is equal for all (though certain DGs whose skills require precise timing suffer more than others in laggy game sessions). That said, probably only 10% of the games I played&n

Quick test results summary AI skirmish (mod version) .25m/uberfix 1.03RC4 Settings: Cataract/High Towers - all other settings on default AI settings: normal sedna(human)/ub/da/ v sedna/ub/da Observed results: Wow, that's much more like it! The AI doesn't get obsessively suicidal over that Valor flag anymore. No "stuck at base" phenomena observed, either. The upgrades are mostly okay (at least, the AI did buy FS1 and Cur1 ASAP

Okay, let's say that's not exactly what happened. True, I've told you (and my tone was very restrained after you've compromised your team by trying to heroically solo a hp flag holding Sedna w/ bishops, feeding me, and immediately ragequitting during previous game: http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/game/1570254/player/121483/

It just happens to be extremely fashionable in noob/mid games, Jona. I play this game for less than two months, so, naturally, most of my games until recently were noob/mid. I was sure these are the 'unofficial' default settings generally accepted by the community, until Renz (or was it Pacov?) enlightened me. I set towers to normal whenever I host since then.

Yes, yes, that's all perfectly understandable, and I don't think you are unnecessarily paranoid, either. It's always better to "overdo" such things, so to say. Anyway, I'm available after ~7 PM EST, so I trust Pacov will contact me if he needs help: 20 minutes of my time is no epic sacrifice for community's sake.

A bit of nerdy linguistic info. Sila (Сила) is Russian for "strength" (Russian name actually does make sense if we assume Sedna is originally from Chukotka, not from Alaska). Grammatically, it's feminine, thus it's probably a she-leopard :) Bottom line: don't opt to be Sila, Shane!

I would tend do disagree on sedna being number 1 and put rook/ub there. I don't have enough experience with Orb-using UBs (apart from some Orcun's replays :)), so cannot really argue here. And yes, maybe Rook should really be #1 on this list... Anyway, the point is Rook, UB and Sedna (the exact order is not too important) are the most Orb-friendly DGs.

heh - that's because the less exploits that are explained and utilized, the better - he gave enough of a description, though... Honestly, I find it hard to believe everyone and their grandmother would begin to use this exploit immediately, even if it were described in greater detail (and the players that would be tempted to do so rarely visit Strategy section, as a rule). I've yet to see any Rooks actually taking advantage&nbs

It procs far more than it should given a few particular instances. I consider it cheating (like using Silence thru Shield IV) so I try not to intentionally do it. However, you can easily achieve over 1000 dps if you intentionally put yourself in the instance for an extended period of time, but it's difficult to do that and survive. UB actually can REALLY break it but luckily most UBs are too stupid to try anything new. Can you be more specific concerning

There is no grudge, and, sadly, I don't think this matter can be settled. I just happen to strongly dislike pompous hypocrites, so I don't think apologizing for being what you are will make any real difference. However, your point regarding Kryo possibly locking this useful thread because of my comments is 100% valid. Therefore, I'll contain myself in the future whenever I feel the urge to react to your posts.
