I have very similar specs to yours (only 1 gig ram, crappy audio,pci-e 6800gt) and the game runs perfectly smoothly on my computer. I'd be inclined to say it's an AGP bandwidth or memory problem of some sort. Also, this doesn't excuse EA, but you can delete the startup movies manually and it skips them fine.

That's why I'm holding off on Win64 for a while, and I also have to shuffle around some of my hardware to get all the stuff with 64bit drivers on the same computer. Kind of annoying, but I expect we'll see some nice performance boosts on the 64bit maya and photoshop

I tihink it's clear that, regardless of what system is implemented, upgrades should only be possible in the player's own space. Otherwise, the cheese factor simply breaks the game.
