I hope the zots are spent on better single player, as MP will almost never be used, but single player will be the primary way to play the game.

It's easier to make time the 0th or 1st dimension, so you can tack on additional space dimensions without this difficulty.
Hey Maxtipherous, did you click on the first link or the second?
I give all my planets the same governer and put basic improvements that all planets should have on it.
I think the prospective scenarios "Partners" and "Dark Earth" are rather boring. I could play those out in a regular game. I'm more interested in unique but replayable situations like the other ones decribed.
On the planet screen, there it a button (I think it's called details) that shows the built improvements with some other information and allows you to select the governer.
You can turn off the notification! I'm 100% positive there is an option somewhere in the options menu, because I turned the notification off myself from there.
This is true unless you choose in an event the evil option that lowers the interest rate (actually it raises the interest rate ability). In that case, leasing is sometimes actually cheaper!
Whoah. That must have taken some time to write. [Message Edited]
One list is fine for me.
"and other heathens", lol
:), I had a wacky gifted program teacher who used to say "I represent that remark!" when people commented on her wackiness. (instead of "I resent that remark!"
I'd like really humanlike AI, especially how they act in diplomacy. It would be amazing if they had so much situational awareness that you could have simple "conversations". For example, bargaining back and forth by starting high and then conceding points until you both agree. Trading map information by regions, for example, you want intel on the Drengin all the way across the galaxy, so you trade your information on the Altarans to the Arceans in exchange for their Drengin data. mmmmmm. Tasty! :d
Stupot, try going to 'run' in the start menu and typing 'sfc internet explorer'. This is the system file checker. It might fix some of your problems.
What's six times ... uhhhh... hmmm?
This isn't exactly a bug, but more a suggestion for changing how the save system works a bit. Here's the story: I played a nice game, won, and got a score of 10,000. Because I'm on dial-up, I couldn't immediately submit the game, so I quit galciv, intending to submit the game later. Later, I played another quick game and lost. In the evening, I was going to submit my first game, but the "endgamesave" file was overwritten by the other game I played! Perhaps if an "endgamesave" file alrea
I say save yourself the 'zots' (effort) and just make culture additive. Improve the game in other ways.
By the way, there is a bug with the new functionality. If you don't have anything highlighted but you still press delete, you still get a confirmation box.
Try going to 32 bit. The truth is, this is a very stable game for the large majority of players.
Man, you guys are crazy with ctrl+N. I just ctrl+N until I get a class 18 or higher Earth. That's it. The game isn't fun if you are in an optimal position each time.
Install to a different directory.
Change to Imperial government, declare war, and change back.
37% Geek. Would be higher, but I don't have much money to buy geeky stuff with.
If the submission fails, it sometimes still says it was reported successful. [Message Edited]
