Sounds velly interlesting. The new colour shifting sounds very good (I liked the pervious version a lot too) and the per-pixel menus is definitely welcome. Hurrah!

It's been nice having a complete break over Christmas and New Year. I have one skin started - which is reserved for my next skin pack - called 'Retro' (which might change), and I need to do two more for the pack. I'm hoping that will be out by the end of January. I also think that the good people here at WC will be listing a pack of my previous 'pack' skins on the Store page sometime soon. In additions to that, I want to write a little VB ap
All the best for a happy and prosperous new year!
Merry Christmas to Brad and all the Stardock and WinCustomize staff, and to all members and visitors to the website, and have a happy and prosperous New Year.
Well I think you're a nice person.
On a similar subject, I seem to be losing the positions of my icons. Each time I reboot they seem to lose their positions and end up in a random arrangement on the desktop. I've tried saving the iconX theme and desktopX theme after resetting them, but sure enough, they aren't where I put them after I reboot. It a bit of a nuisance!
One day I really really must try and get to grips with this new fangled SkinStudio thing.
...then tweak the right spoon flange until the upper dong pootle border matches the second sputnik doofer setting in the \arse\arse\yak folder. Then take away the number you first thought of. Power to the non-SkinStudio-do-it-in-a-text-editor people! wubble
(there are just too many critics in the world...) Nice job as usual fellas.
looks coool. [Message Edited]
Thanks watson. It was great fun doing it. I've been a fan of graffiti art for ages - just never had the reason to make one.
(Let me know if you have mine in there Pyro. It's pretty recent.)
Major congrats - that's a heck of a lot of downloads. ..and I was about post that my WindowBlinds download total has just passed one million (out of about 1.2 million total). Well done me too.
(Time to get my mosaic on view...)
Just noticed in my stats that my WindowBlinds downloads have gone through the 1 million downloads... Total Downloads: 1,266,294 (10) WindowBlinds: 1,048,717 (3) :D
AAAAGGGHHHH!!! I've made a stupid error. I've saved a 'flattened' version of the new skin's photoshop file over the 'layered' version. Now I've lost all the effects I used for the elements! I'll have to see if I have an older copy of it somewhere...
Well, it always happens doesn't it. You have an idea and it just has to come out. Like trapped wind. After monkeying around with SkinStudio (which I never usually use), and promising myself that this time, I'll use it to make my skin, really, honest, definitely... I can't be arsed. It just won't be ready quick enough! I want to be using this new skin like NOW and learning to use SS is getting IN THE WAY. And on the subject of the next saugsage of skinning tastyness to pop out of the e
Coincidentally, I'm conducting a performance of 'Utopia Limited' - an operetta by Gilbert and Sullivan - next week. (Tickets are still available if you're in the Blackpool area, north-west England) Oh, and nice icons as well Paul! (you want a ticket?)
And it does work! Now I have to put up with the people who will say "hey - my Start Menu title text is missing" ...because they haven't read the explanation in the description when I post the skin!
All those tips are very useful. I'll probably be using the 'text angle' fudge on my next skin (which should be ready tomorrow now I have this sorted out!) Thank you all for the temporary loan of your brains. You can have them back now. (I don't usually use one.)
Thanks Scarebear / Beesley. After taking a look through the wallpaper section I'm going to have a play with Apophysis and see what I can come up with.
(I don't use a GUI to skin WindowBlinds...)
is there a way of turning the text off completely?
Does this work ok? I don't seem to be able to get the text to right justify satisfactorily. It only seems to put the text over to the right, 'somewhere'. I don't know which margin settings may be affecting where the text ends up. Any iseas?
