What other faction were you playing? Custom?
GFireflyE
With win7, I wouldn't go less than 8gig, but I'd definately recommend 16gig.
Seriously. I really don't think Test Driven Development (TDD) is practiced at Stardock Large systems do not always lend themselves well to automated unit testing; games are a particular example of this. Due to the number of variables involved, enormous setup to test certain components or scenarios, etc., some or many parts can only be effectively assessed through traditional testing. I'd prefer 4-way world-wrap instead of sea travel. Being able to expand in 4 directions no matter where you are located would be a really awesome addition. Out of the other two, modding would be next on my list; mostly to tweak ingame balance issues (should there be any after final release). Well I understand many out there would like multiplayer, I am not one of them. So I'll put that last for my vote. ;)
Agree with pretty much everything stated here. Don't think increasing the cost of pioneers is the answer as that would just slow the game down even further. imo, early game production costs need to be brought back down again, especially for the resource improvements.
It's the ' italic '. Recommend it's removal.
nothing is completed, nothing... oops sorry, we got game intro finished
A REALLY cool game intro. XD
Agree with the OP here too. Salting the earth after city destruction or after empire surrender is very unfun. @ seanw3 : Really like your 'Salt the Earth' spell idea! However, imo, should be the same strength and availability as 'Revitalize the Earth' spell. @<a id="ctl00__Content__Rep
I suppose I shall have to stoop down to a form of debate that you will understand: You are wrong. You're describing a different game with different expectations. Go back to playing CIV. The rest of us will continue to work with the design team, giving positive, upbuilding, and benefiting advice towards the successful implementation and release of FE. I shall say no more on the matter.
Revitalized land is basically a random event. It could easily be tossed there as well...
Good Morning Stardock I know and understand that you've decided not to add new features to FE anymore and that I'll have to somehow satisfy myself with what the game currently provides. However, I've been compiling a list of features that I thought would really benefit the game. I've posted them before in other threads, always without any comment from Stardock. Since we're approaching close to release now, I was wondering and hoping if you wo
My entire view of beta 5 is clashing with Stardock at the moment... Stardock says that beta 5 is all about balance and bugs; that this wraps up the game for release. I still see the need for a tonne more content, features and UI in addition to those balance and bugs... Never the less, I'm not the one doing the designing, so I'll have to put my faith in Stardocks ability...
I vote 'master scout' is one of the worst designs ever thought of for this game. One of the pivotal aspects of this game is the interaction your faction has with the cataclysmic enviroment around you before the political conflicts with the other factions. Why design an ability that completely eliminates that from the game. I can see it now: "I bought FE because I love the interaction with the monsters. My favorite faction is Tarth because it elimin
It would be cool if you would get an pop-up like this: "Greetings my Lord! I bring you great news! An area in our domain has become fertile enough for settlement! The people talk in excitment about going there and sing songs about the returning land. They await your command, my Lord."
This would be an excellant way to approach to pop-up land if it's meant to be there.
Run 32-bit XP and never had a problem with FE and other programs. Alt-tab all the time without any crashes. I do have dual monitor though, and when I alt-tab the first time after loading the game, my scroll right no longer works when I mouse over, as the cursor floats over to my other window...
Quoting GFireflyE, reply 21 I disagree. It's different strategic planning, and imo, more dynamic. In the case where snaking is NOT allowed: You require strategic planning in where you rigidly build your cities. In the case where snaking IS allowed: You still require that strategic planning in where you build your cities, but there is some flexibility when doing so. However, you also
This happened to me a few times in 0.951. Never saw it yet in 0.98b, but obviously it still exists. I don't think this should be possible...
Quoting GFireflyE, reply 3 [Applause] Path of the Governor looks VERY enticing now. Good job! Will try it out. 5: it does? I think everytime I take it my heroes are way weaker than if I had taken mage/warrior. That said, at least the path trait itself is worth levelling silly heroes to level 4 for. (some heroes are plain rubbish, compared to the competition ) Sincerely ~ Kongdej
I'd like to recommend having a "world-wrap", both east-west and north-south, in the map generation. Too many times I'm 'cornered' with only one way to expand. Makes for a boring, bottlenecking, type of game.
I seriously hope SD doesn't listen to you guys. The snaking mechanic was awful. Unique? Sure. Unintended side effect of a feature? Yes. Completely immersion killing? You bet. Horrible exploit that the AI could never match? Totally. 1) I actually agree with you there, it is not consistent. So other resources should be changed so they are also not included in the town when it touches the towns border. 2) Sn
I would prefer if you would categorize them and list them under bugs, suggestions and balance Nice work though, its a bit too cluttered for poor ol' me Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Sorry...kinda just wrote it chronologically as I played the game. I'll take what I have and reorganize them for you.
I don't mind the minimum 25g for rush productions. It would be a great deal more meaningful if I didn't have to rush EVERY building due to it's overly long queue duration. As is, I just shunt all sorts of enchantments/spells/etc into extra gold production. Definately putting a skew on my game. Ces't la vie. Hopefully in 0.982 Stardock tones down those early builds a little. Though, I will say this: Having early game troops cost less than early game buildings enco

They apply for exporting goods to other nations (which in elemental doesn't exist, period).
Sure they do. When you leave the foreign country, you have to declare your purchases and pay tax accordingly. :P
