I must admit you have an unhealthy obsession with dps builds (: By the way, my Sed build, for instance, is neither a tank, nor a nuker (no-Pounce), and it still works like a charm (well, not yesterday when I mis-healed jakins 4 times...).

It shows you current games that are open, games in progress, and now some additional stats showing folks that drop games a lot, etc. Surprisingly, that would be me! (: Probably because of countless semi-noob games with funny settings I'd rage quit recently.

You are way too emotional (: Even if one presents things the way you choose to (and your analysis must be taken with a grain of salt, to say the least), these are not unequivocally bad points. Most MOBAs aren't diverse at all as far as competitive builds are considered, so what did you expect, exactly, I wonder?

I was surprised, too. But if 1k+ expert players are skeptical, I think the example is of some value, given a high number of newcomers. Besides, it's a good 2v2 in terms of general game dynamics (constant aggressive pushing, opportunistic flag caps, high map awareness).

Yes. Basically, there are two conditions to getting Cur 2: (1) your team is strong and skilled; (2) the opposing team is strong and skilled. Which means no one will feed in particular, and the game is going to be a long one. Again, there are some very good players that constantly get even Cur 3 (and I'd be hard-pressed to name a game where it could possibly pay off, except some tourney-level 3v3s).

I've always thought it's sort of a common knowledge Erb gets out-pushed (and pushed out) by Sed, but was asked by two very experienced and skilled players to send them a replay so they see how that is possible. I figured such a replay might be of more universal interest, given our humble DG renaissance (: Here you go: http://www.filehosting.org/file/details/295330/yellowinvsnnnils

Watching the replays is a good piece of advice, but playing with tier 1 players is the key. When you are less nooby, find yourself a nice easy-going one that is willing to coach you :) My mentors were iamKira, ppapanek, renz, and, later, McShane and nnnils. You'll get shouted at, no doubt, but if they'll see you are willing to learn and progress, they will be quite supportive of your efforts, trust me.

EDIT: I also think a godly internet is a must to play DG and right now I don't have such a connection. A GODLIKE internet, you mean.

The funny thing is, I've just finished a match with him :)))

That's the first item I get [e digicons]O:)[/e] I don't propagate this as a build to end all builds, but I suspect I have enough Sed experience at this point to formulate my own opinion [e digicons]^_^[/e] The fact is, I was never half that successful with tanky builds. Getting Cloak is a more elegant solution tactically (great to jump in/out of combat), but, unfortunately, it's not too good strategically (adds zero map mobility, since naturally, you can rarely predict the

Swift Sedna vs Blood Sedna lvl 10 comparative statistics : Swift (Nimoth, Hauberk, NR, Unbreakables, Vlemish) -- 4335 hp / 4234 mana / 1328 armor (34.7%) / 7.8 speed Blood (BoS, Hauberk, NR, Unbreakables, Vlemish) -- 4635 hp / 4234 mana / 578 armor (18.8%) / 7.5 speed

Alternative variation of the build, if you need high mobility very early on and prefer to be more armor-oriented overall (minions, Rook towers, etc.). Favor : Swift Anklet. Skills : Same as in the OP. Gear : 1. Banded Armor->Hauberk->Groffling; 2. Scalemail->Nimoth; 3. Nature's Reckoning; 4. Bishops; 5. Unbreakable

Silence is an instant universal pseudo-interrupt with a good range. Two interrupts are better than just a single one, true, but Pounce is not an instant and has a pitiful range, so it's only useful while contesting portals. I get it after 10, if such a need arises.

18 Replies 605 Views

Look, no Pounce only really hurts vs Vial Rook, and Sed should never directly oppose Rook alone. As a solo build, it's not the strongest, Cloak-Pounce is obviously much better. But if we are talking skilled 3v3 with reliable teammates that don't leave you alone vs Vial Rook, that is another story. Anyway, I've done strong Pounce and low Pounce builds, both Blood and Cloak, and I know I am on my best with this build. And if sometimes my best is not good enough, that's a

Some fine tuning. Typically, in a Cataract 3v3, you'll have enough for Cur1, BoS and Scalemail or Banded at WR3. I think Scalemail is preferable with high towers until the corners are down (as Sedna must be a very active tower pusher after lvl5/HW2). Also, Hauberk is best replaced by Nimoth when playing vs a minion QoT. Other full minion builds and tower-heavy Rook are obvious candidates for Nimoth over Hauberk as well, though I honestly feel minion QoT is the only ma
