I agree an exaggerated rating in either direction is doing no good for any skinner or user, not just the low side of rating. That said, I know I have gotten the friend rating before and probably will again, just what friends do, as is what a non friend does with low. , deliberate ratings. I would suggest comparing several ini. files also due to the changes made by each author. You will find several differences in each file according to what graphics were incorporated. Some docks{backgrounds}work sides , top , and bottom, some do not. Also, I would set all sizes to zero and start fresh when aligning through the ini. file so you can see before change and after change differences. If you leave all the sizes as are, you may be missing
There was this very issue just recently. In a forum post by soundstream1969, apparently an issue for others and being worked on. In the mean, A nice support tech, Gargabee, posted a temporary link for that person to download sks. Hope that helps ya.

FYI, and may be critical to why it works, Programs list side is my only item mouse over, and settings are normal and mouse over for the text, but only under the item mouse over text settings. The places side, I am sharing the item mouse over and only set the places list Normal text, all others at os default. The combination may not

Until someone using sks8 replies, you could try the window text. In sks7 it is under change skin colors, skin defined system colors, window text. Should be a similar label in sks8.

Well, in sks7, it is your window text color, not sure if 8 changed that, probably. someone with sks8 would have to help there.
