I got this spell thanks to a hero that had it...and it is amazing when using it with enchanted hammers to boost production I tried some tests to find wich of both was better for a city with only 1 essence, and the result was that Obsession gave more production...(apart from the extra gildar). And after having workshop and other buildings, the difference was increasing. IDK why, but it is that... BTW, apart from that hero, is there any other way to get the spell?

I captured a Harridan Spider with a collar, and decided to grow it. I casted tutelage, so it has arrived to level 13 with ~140 HP. Not bad, but as Tuidjy has stated, at this point it seems a bit out of the endgame, as the defense remains in only 5. Anyway, its web skill and the tanking has been very usefull along the early and midgame. Anyway, it gives sense to the beast lord trait, and I think I want to play it on a next game, and get some pets. I think that combining it with the "fr

I'd like to see both of them too. There are other priorities to spend Dev's time? Maybe there are some things to fix (I hope for the patch 1.01), but I think it is time to start adding ideas for a possible expansion, and these two things would be great.

Injuries in champions is, IMO, a controversial feature. On one hand, it seems a price to pay to justify their immortality. On the other hand, it doesn't matter if a hero dies, or takes an injury (and loses the XP), because many people will just load a savegame...who wants those red blurs? But suposing you don't, as it is stated, getting more and more injuries makes them so crippled that may get useless for the rest of the game...You can always use the "Stealth Spirit" spell as

Hi Kondej, I told that because, as since 1.0, I have lost all my games in Challenging (except the one I played with Kraxis blood), so I turned to Normal/Normal. What I meant, was to say that the difficulty gap between Normal and Challenging might be very big...So in normal I get not enough fun, but in challenging I am dopgiled and overwhelmed... The idea of the Thread is saying that Challenging AI is too hard now, I agree with that. So I find myself that: or play challenging w

I like assassin for a damage dealer, and warrior for a tank to equip with armour (the horse is not enough), but only if got Adventurer Boon first. A +1 HP/level would be nice for the warrior path...The skills of Sweep and double strike would be a good add, and fit in the warrior path too... Defender and Governor...I tried but I don't like for the main purpose of my game. And Mage...only when I have assasins, so rarely I can develop them. Some of the isolated traits might b

Sorry if this can hijack your post, Tuidjy. After renouncing to play in Challenging for a time, I am playing a game in Normal/Normal, and I find it too easy. Still need more game to do, but I am thinking more and more that there is a big step between Normal and Challenging. I have to say this: NORMAL AI heroes get TWO STRENGH TRAITS too, the same as you stated in Challenging! Sorry I did not capture image, but anyone can check it for sure. This seems to be clearly a bug, as it is not

If I can remember, a harbour requieres to have a dock, and the dock to have a pier. To have a pier, your city must stay near a river tile at the settle point (not if you build your city from other tile to river - they call this sneak). It is the same for the logging camp: only allowed if a forest tile is near the settle point. No sneak on this, too. The wonders, like the Great Mill, can only be chosen when no other faction has started to build it. Once a faction starts it, the

The stealth, as stated, should be used for new players only, the rest will take other things more interesting....or not? It is ok this way, so nothing else should be done. The current Master Scouts, it is still one of the best traits (I recognize I always pick it). If we look the old grandfather (MoM), it had Pathfinder (it could be the same: no penalties), and the skills of Foresting (no penalties in forest), Mountaneering (no penalties in hills, and could walk across mountai

Thanks Tuidjy for your tests in challenging. I totally agree with your conclusions. My last game in challenging, I had to quit, because of that: the al 3 factions were at war at me, I could do nothing but defending from all of them. Heroes came wih 2 streng traits, and great weapons and chain armour... So, I nerfed myself and I went to a normal game, but I started surrounded by 2 shaman armies (~50/40/150) and a craig spawn army (76/76/83) wandering near my capital on early turns....I

Cool ideas. I will add some more: - Forest tiles (or with high vegetation) should add some bonuses to defense/dodge. Maybe melee attacks could be bonused too - Introduce tiles with different effects, like mud, swamps, that can affect the movement and other effects. - If moving a unit in melee to another tile, it will receive a Penalty strike from each enemy surrounding the previous tile. This, apart to avoid the "hit and run", means that the unit is giving the ba

For what I've played (in challenging diff), you can have cities with no troops ONCE you have cleared the wildlands with some more safety. Anyway, it doesn't mean that a random monster may appear...but with cleared lands and roads between cities, it should be easy to defend with little troops. But remember that if you are at war, AI will try to attack defenceless cities too... Other problem will be with clearing the strong or deadly lairs, it will take time to d

Some tips I have seen playing over and over: - Don't waste crystall and metal in early/mid troops. You will need a lot for full geared end-game troops. Although it depends on the available resources and you will have to design accordingly, a new tech will demmand more resources, so you can find that you spent them on obsolete troops. Use them with caution ;) - Only 2 fortress uses to be enough to develop good troops. The rest, conclaves (for research) and towns (for gildar

Although I like MP in games, as a feature to be used or not, in this kind of games, with turns that may last long, and where a match can last hours, or even days, I really prefer the budget to be invested in improving the SP experience (AI and content) rather than on an under-used MP. For a good MP experience, maybe SD should make a game in the Elemental World tunned into RTS (like SOASE, Age Of Empires, Warcraft...), rather than trying to adapt the hard-to-adapt. RTS is more oriented

Ok I forgot to uninstall beta, so Steam downloaded the 1.0 patch. Now, I can play 1.0, but the previous factions I created on the beta are still there. I even deleted the My Docs\my Games\FallenEnchantress\Units and the \Races but, the factions are still there... Will I have to unistall and reinstall the game to clean those previous factions? No other easier way to delete old factions?

I agree with that factions are more diverse in old MoM and AoW, with many unique untis acording to each race. But after all, there were 5, 6 or 7. At the end, you only wanted to create the most powerfull to be with the heroes. Magic system is quite different too. You research in magic spells only, while in FE you research warfare and civics too. Tactical fights...they are almost the same, so I don't agree with that. But after all, saying the game sucks only for tha

I guess many of your first questions can be found in the manual in the first pinned post of the forum https://stardock.cachefly.net/FE_manual.pdf For my own experience with the beta, I can tell you: - Replaying with same faction is perfectly possible. Each map is random, so your strategy will have to adapt to the available resources. Of course, strategies that you find usefull, you will repeat...b

When using spell Tireless march on a horsed hero (with an army of more horsemen) its movements points increase to 5. I use a movement point, and another horsemen joins the army. Then, the movement points of the final army change, and states a different number. The same, if I split a horsemen from the army, it says it has 3/5 movement points instead of 3/4. If I give the boots of movement (+1 MP) to the horsed hero with tireless march, it has 6 movement points. But when

It has been stated before that the AI champs uses to get a lot of injuries over time, because of quests or whatever. In my last game, at challenging, first time I battled enemy heroes, they already had 3-5 injuries... And one more after that battle ;) I think a way to heal injuries, but specially done by the AI could balance that. Maybe a spell attached to a certain technology (so it costs mana), or a scroll to be bought from the shop (so it costs Gildar...although it sh

It's even easier if you were an early WoM buyer, as you already have it direct from us!
