Where if you are adjacent to a foe and move you either get only one step or you take a free swing like Age of Wonders did. Mike.
I really miss this. Although I don't usually do the hit and run, I sometimes move champs/troop through enemies to finish a wounded one. A hit (that could be dodged) by each enemy that is in range (1 tile) when trying to move out (that happened in AoW but in MoM too I

I think that iddle cities with the "Zzzz" should appear on top of the city list at left screen, so you can realize of them, instead of having to scroll up and down each turn, once you have a lot of cities. And that of iddle cities that make research is annyoying. Maybe there should be a mode that put a city into - Research. Focus the production to research. (This is like the current iddle ones.) - Bussiness. Focus the production to make Gildar This

This kind of combination gives so many advantages that makes hard to start a new game without it. It is like Master Scouts. Once you get used to move at full speed, it is hard to go back to the penalty movement... And now I'm trying Enchanters...The arcane monolith spell is an outpost-creator, the scrying pool is a builidng for +1 essence in each city (that means enchanted hammers and later may change it for another spell) So a faction with betrayers + Master Scout

So that is, my last game I tried Enchanters (as many people talks so good of it)...and it is true.... I think no place in this trait informs about the spell Monolith. I will check again to be sure. GFireflyE: The point 1, IDK what you mean... The point 2. I agree with you. But it is hard to think in a suitable solution...I mean, suposing you HAVE to use monolith at a Max of 20 tiles from your ZoC....well, it doesnt matter...just make another one, an ZoC

I have seen a spell that allows to place a Monolith (ancient monolith I think it is the name, not sure sorry) that acts like an outpost, at a cost of 50 mana. I'm not sure if it was in previous builds, or it is only from last .992 The good things: - IT allows to stop the pioneer spamming needed to increase ZoC in zones not suitable for cities. Not only to get resources, but to ocupy land - It acts exactly the same that the pioneer outpost, and can be up

I agree
I'm guessing somewhere between 80 and 85. Niche games rarely get good scores, it's always mass market bullshit at the top.
Totally agree. I will say 82 as the middle point.

Agree, the importance for the last declared bugs seems to have little impact for a good experience and fun the with general gameplay. I find the game ready to release, and these last days for polishing will make it bright even more.

For now, I find little usefulness too in familiars. They die too fast....seems a waste of time, mana and Sov HP. To improve them, some of these could be added: - They can receive spells like armor, haste, and all that, so they get more survival, at a mana cost OC. - Improve their dodge skills, as said before. Maybe some more HP too. Armor? I don't find sense in that, but well...could be an option. - Make them immortals. If heroes and sovs are...why not their famili

As the release is inminent, Devs must be crazy with latest tweaks, bug-fixing, balancing, polishing, graphical and sound improvements and all that. Many of the issues have been already presented. But I've noticed some post of new players complaining of diverse issues, that beta testers have maybe ignored because got used to them, or find less important than other ones more relevant. I'd like to add some ideas targeting to improve the experience for new players, that wi

A monument sounds more to me to something related to prestige and influence, rather than to a building that expands ZoC. Anyway, calling "Statue", " sculpture " or similar to the +1 ZoC (just because it looks like it) is enough to point the difference. I think there have been some other posts remarking this same name for two different buildings. I'm sure that, after release, there will be more

Steam has good things and bad things, but overall is fine enough. I found the EFE beta access thanks to the advertising of the day, and inmediately bought it. For a game developer, I guess the most important is to be seen and advertised, so to be in Steam is very recommended. IDK the other platforms, as I find in Steam all I may need for now, but anyway, to be in many platforms is better, as more people will see your work.

I don't know if it is normal, but what it seems is recommended to delete all previous sovs, factions and untis created in previous beta, to avoid issues with changes in new beta 0.99.

I hope so. I find it very unfriendly to the player, no need to say compared with many other games that have different solutions. I don't need multiple waypoints, just a confirmation that the unit will move to where I decide, and if I mistake, I can redo before the movement is done. Now a mistake means to loose 2 turns, 1 turn to come back and other turn to go to the chosen place...and if the time is essential (like being under attack) that mistake means another game loadin

I totally agree with an army management button. Join/split/combine units between armies in a tile should be a must, instead of having to move them to another tile to combine the desired army. The same, for units in a city: it is annoying to make multiple clicks to check the units I want to join the army: first to know the stats, second to shift+click to combine the army...

Don't go out from the point. The truth is the current movement system does not allow a mistake, a personal route or a calculation from the turns that will take to move to a far place. I prefer any system than the current. And simple if possible, like first right click to set the path, and a second right click to confirm the movement. There is an issue in Tactical battle: a unit moves to a selected tile, and stops movement, even if it has movement points left. I
