Although the explanations before may have a bit of sense... I totally agree with OP. We should be able to produce crappy archers from the beggining, or with the first warfare tech (training, if i rememeber right) instead of having to wait for so long for the archery tech. This is more sense. And again, gives more chances to make early troops.

I find interesting in having AI that can heal... How to introduce a limit to that? Well I can only think in restrict a max number of healing potions per combat depending on the difficulty settings, like 1 in easy 2 in normal, etc.

I find the same sense in a Summoning scroll than in a Summoning Spell... If "magical" recruiting is enabled, a way to control recruiting should be introduced... a cooldown? I find more sense in a scroll as unique item. Doing it as a unique scroll, at least you are allowed to recruit a max of 3 (for each level 5, 7 and 9), while if it is a spell, it may be cast many many times...don't like that, as heroes loses its chance of being special and sometimes hard to find. If you t

I support tech + gildar. Apart from buildings, there are powerfull custom traits that can be hero-oriented: betrayers + natural leader makes you to easy have all heroes you can find, so this can only be restricted by tech. Using it I had 7 heroes in little time...for less than 50-100 gildar each That is, beause I accepted the negative trait that increases the cost of recruiting, i think it is "cruel" (not sure now) but it is a good bussiness with natural leader: getting both m

I think 50 mana is reasonable. Not only because the feeling of being powerfull, but because IT IS POWERFULL. I mean, making that terraforming should cost a lot of mana. Paying 50 mana gets sure you will think twice when using it, but the most important is that it is a reasonable quantity of mana for the effects of the spell: making land from the sea? Lowering a mountain? For less than 50 mana? Ok, you can reduce to 45, but less than that is nonsense. Apart from that, is the st

I missed them too, when in a game, I only found the first hero... Since then, I play with max number of heroes in world options. I suggested in a previous post that, instead a spell of Summon Hero, give us a scroll of Summoning. The scroll could be a unique item, attached to the Hero technology tree, so u could have a total of 3 scrolls, and so 3 heroes summoned this way (levels 5, 7 and 9), I think it should be enough for a possible lack of heroes. Another question is, how to

Thank you for the suggestion. In fact, yesterday I was looking at your Stormworld Mod wiki, and thinking in trying it once the final game is launched and tested. I take the opportunity to give you a suggestion for if you find it interesting to add to your Mod: introducing Leveled Lairs :) https://forums.stardock.com/433682

I think this topic has been treated before. But as the current system still remains, I think that some solution should be given, because the choice is very important. A mistake, easy to make, is very disappointing and it means to have to reload the game, just for that. In fact, I renamed cities with essence (adding s1, s2, and so at the end of its name) just to be aware for the upgrade. Any of the proposed solutions is usefull. The simplest: just take us to the city wi
One thing I'll try to have done for day one release is some event based quest content. It will be short and simple, but add some nice variety to games. Make sure everyone points out to new users that content mods are great for beginners too!
Idk if events could be attached to quests, but that would be great. The events that modify terrain could be fun too... like <a id="ctl00__Content__Repeate

Well, the idea is not permanent lairs...once completed all levels, the zone is cleared like now... but it gives more duration to the lair zones, as an excuse to come back later. Determined zones, once cleansed, you will not come back never again....just becomes an empty dessert... After completed a level, the Lair could go to "stand by" for some turns. Visiting then would give a message like "You find no signs of life around, but you feel like a strange presence surrounds this place".

Yeah, I'm still waiting for a random event to appear... my games don't last so much, but I remember Frogboy told the chance of a determined random event (I can't remember wich one) was 1/18.000 each turn... that would mean you need to play 36 games (of your 500 seasons each one) to see it... Instead of rare, strange and apocalyptical events, what about more simple and frequent ones?

I have not seen a random event in all the games I've played (about 20 untill now), even with the "more often" option. I don't plan in having a random event each 10 turns, but maybe a minor event each 20-30 turns (for saying a number) could add some flavour... So I will suggest some events (many of them taken from other games, of course...nobody is perfect). - A visit of a trader with some special items...you will still need money for buying them.

What I'm going to suggest, will not be implemented for retail game because the time needed for it, but if it is taken into account for future patches, or for modders, maybe some of you can find it satisfying: --> Introduce Levels in some (or many) of the lairs. First level is a weak lair. After cleaned, it becomes a Middle Lair, let's say 1-5 turns later. It might mean the Lair is deep and hides surprises, so you have to go down far inside to get middle monst

1. Do you feel monsters act too randomly? Yes. I like random as if monsters were predictable, it would be boring. But they should get some "logical" paths, like don't going too far from their lairs. Another thing is a "wanderer monster", but that should be specific for that kind. 2. Do you feel like early game monsters are too powerful? Yes. I have no problem with that, just leave the stronger lairs for later, and pray I will not wake t

Yes, that is part of random games...All random? Then probably will just start a new match if don't like starting position But this way, allows to focus on a kind of play and have some more suitable chances...it is like paying points for the weapons or the items for the sov. and don't forget you are paying for them, instead of having other traits...
