Ok, sorry to reply to own post but just discovered what is causing it - it happens only when the make taskbar semi transparent setting is selected. Hope this helps bugfix. Richard Malone
Strange occurance and quite annoying. Happens when WindowFX and WB loaded at the same time. Running on Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2, all software is up to date beta. Only occurs when per-pixel alpha blended themes are used. See the following image for an example. This could equally be a problem with WindowBlinds, so let me know if I should post it there. I had a rather unfortunate game where every major race, except the Torians, surrendered to a minor race. This made the rest of the game extremely boring as you tend to get familiar with how to deal with the individual races. Perhaps something should be done to prevent this from happening, or maybe as jpub said, promote the Minor Races to Major ones.
