A tactic such as you described, raising a mountain ridge around a city, is not all that effective. It will mean starving your city in order to delay the enemy. Not only that, while you had to raise 9 mountains, all the enemy has to do is lower one (and yes, I'm assuming that if you made mountains impassable that wizards know how to deal with that).
My sins in Expert mode of FE:LH basically consists of me rerolling starts so very much until I get an isolated start then I start playing on that map unless there's an AI that starts like five turns away from me then I will reroll again. Because with isolated start i will have enough time to research stuff and catch up in equipment which the AI already have like by turn 50? Thats what it feels like to me x.x Because I can't really handle
I barely can see anything in that screenshot.
AOW3 is probably going to kill Archon titans and bone dragons.. once those two is gone, its all relentless ICS from there on -.- And it's not making triumph studios look good in my eyes. http://ageofwonders.com/forums/topic/fun-is-ending-ugggguuuuuu-d/ I'm so glad that FE:LH don't have PVP.
Just always do manual battle against certain types of monsters and your problem will go away. Especially shrikes. I still refuse to believe that four air shrikes with less than 40 hp combined is capable of taking down nine knights with over five thousand hp. My knights had to voluntarily let the shrikes attack them many many times while knight spam defend before one could even go down.
I seen the dead AI expand to like four cities once. But he was my neighbor and I killed the dead and that was the end of the lucky AI. And it could be more worse, after all I just did this and the AI completely fell for it allowing the one knight do this look at all the corpses around it? Yeah xD While other guys on the knight's team was just watching and eating popcorn as th
You didn't clear out the monster lairs in your domain first before exploring outside the borders? Anyways, every single thing you have listed, I've yet to encounter such bugs..
Learn about blacksmithing tech and embrace it. It will keep you slightly safe until you reach pikes level of tech in military tree. Pikes level is the "endgame" of the weaponry until you get to the end of magic tech tree. Don't forget about civilization for developing your cities either.
So you're really happy about two free games but extremely unhappy about the delay of dlc?
three units of mages or if you don't have the crystal needed for them early game then use an hero with damaging spell. And if you have any units with magic weapons early in the game laying around, throw them against the banshee but be warned it will only do like 1 damage xD If you don't have any hero with damaging spell.. then well you have no choice but train mages, hunt down those crystal crags and upgrade them. Place an outpost on them if you have to.
Draginol is Frogboy's other forum username, and I'd imagine the text is making a reference to GalCiv.
Oh hell. I found that exp book many many times in 400+ hours of playing fe;lh but never made the connection -.- Live and learn lol
I don't get it.
To make sure the dead world dlc comes on this thursday right?
Warlock games do many things right, but what I like the most is the fact that a settlement is not a defenseless installation - finally, games like Civ5 and Warlock are getting it. The worst example of how not to do it is Conquest of Elysium, where you can lose a castle to a wandering deer - ridiculous. The population must be able to deal with minor threats by itself, or expansion is not really possible.
Uhh I think it has been like a month since I last played FE:LH cuz I heard about 1.6's monster lair's zoc so I've been waiting patiently. Okay things I dislike that I still remember is.... Ridiculous Difficulty ok i'm sorry. XD Anyways, - Gilden AI always get themselves killed by spamming guarded strike on me in tactical battles. I felt like I was exploiting the Gilden AI but can't be helped... i didnt want to d
What's wrong with creating islands and raising mountains to wall off enemies? I once had an Earth Archmage and used it's raise mountains ability to get Vergas to go stab someone else for once instead of me every single time. [e digicons][/e] But I found out the hard way, vergas was so bent on stabbing me he took the long route just to stab me some more. If there's a route you want to take.. i would recommend interesting worlds next time, curre
Your Settlement have to be right next to forest/river if you wish to build lumbermills and Piers. Unless you get lucky and the city expand into their direction. I can agree that's kinda stupid but oh well that's life. 1/3/0 What You don't have to settle on it if that's your starting tile well then make your first city a town. You will take heavy causalities cuz weak troops but until you get the fortress built then it will stabilize out fine. &nbs
What a wonderful time to be a strategy game player... If I want top notch city building with almost unending depth I can play Civ 5 If I want excellent strategic tactical battles with very light city building I can play AOW III If I want a a combo of both of those games with added RPG like character development immersion I can play Fallen Enchantress If I want to be forced in
Go my Juggernauts! Get me closer so I can hit the dragons with my Sword! I can be such a jerk XD Sure it took me 11 Spy drones but I Sunk that frigate fleet for fun :3 Which also had a wraith king in it too. I fell for it xD After reading the whole post then I looked at the link to read it out of habit.. DOH! Its a mod after all lawl
I seriously can't wait for ZOC on monster lairs. No more longer I will fall victim to cheese from AI like when They settle next to dragon nest. Dragon never attack the AI city despite it being more powerful than six puny peasants. But when I evict the AI, sorry, the dragon didn't like it and attacks me the new ruler of the city and my army gets wiped instantly. Next one is even more funnier. Huge Dark sorcere
The mongols in MTW2 eh? XD Well I only played the first one but, I have done things like dump an massive army into the provinence where they show up one turn before before their appearance... They spawn with 100k-200k soldiers right? Well I took almost every single soldier in my byzantine kingdom and sent them into kharov something I forgot what name that they spawn at plus crimea and others. And one turn later, they showed up. I went into manual
Hey Han solo went through an asteroid field in his millenium Falcon and got through just fine although the same can't be said about imperial tie fighters XD
Cool I got a question if you don't mind.. Do borders work the same way as in GalCIv2? Other factions can colonize the colonized planets inside your border or no?
