Hell, I'm just excited to play the damn thing. Keep seeing Escalation on my list of games greyed out, like a jerk.

Am I to interpret the top few images as being a change up to how the two factions develop their bases? Because that would be so cool.

Yikes, you know Steam reviews are meaningless when Supreme Commander 2 has a higher score than Ashes. Anyways, I've loved this game since the day I booted it up, and will continue to push it to everyone I know with even a passing interest in RTS. I hope Escalation gets you guys back in to the spotlight and keeps the sales going.
Hey, more units, more defenses, more gameplay and more races down the road? Won't get any whining from this guy.
Doesn't matter, so long as it opens up better performance for non-Windows 10 users, I'm counting that as a huge win.
## Vulkan ## This is now working in our internal builds! This might show up in 1.5. AMD is providing a lot of assistance to us in getting Vulkan support so please be sure to give some kudos and credit to AMD for Vulkan in PC gaming. It'll run great on any GPU that supports Vulkan. ## Scenario Creator & Steam Workhop ## While probably not for 1.5, we are putting the final touches on a GUI Scenario editor
Adding to what Ticktoc said, if one has more "stuff" on its drive, it'll be slower. Same goes for if one has viruses. Or if one has a buttload of stuff cached compared to the other. Then of course, clocks and cooling will make a ton of difference. Before I bought my second R9 280X, I had a crazy high clock on my one card, but it would eventually throttle down, meaning the game would start with north of 60FPS, and eventually fall to the 20s before I'd give up and play something else.</
I do prefer to steam just let people who really played enough a game to review it. lets say 50+hours of game-play before reviewing it. That I think will be much better.
I somewhat agree, although I've also had games where there's no way in hell I'd put in 50 hours they were so bad. There's also short story games where that wouldn't make sense. I do put a bit more weight in reviews where the pers

The similarities look almost intentional....which is fine because that bomber was slick looking.
Take away the rail and I could see it.
IF I had a time machine, which I don’t…yet…I wish we could have called the game just Escalation.
If you ever had a time machine, wouldn't you currently have one? [e digicons]:|[/e]
Well, money was tight, but I bit the bullet and pre-purchased. Make me proud! [e digicons]|-)[/e]
You guys are very cool for putting in the legwork on that. Most companies wouldn't even look twice.
Have more game setup options similar to those in SupCom2 where we can change the nature of the game: no air units, no orbitals, slow quantum generation or other aspects of the game.
THIS. I hate the orbitals in the game (I like seeing unit lines smash in to eachother). Would be nice to disable certain facets of the game. Kinda odd this isn't in anyways, every other RTS I've played lately (Command and Conq
I honestly don't think you'll ever overcome the Steam reviews. Not because of any fault of the game, but because many purchasers are idiots who were expecting a fast, micro-style RTS. Even a cursory glance at most of the recent reviews says many of them are talking about slow pace, plain individual units, etc. I suspect Ashes is going to sell the same way Supreme Commander and Total Annihilation did: People talking to eachother, or actively looking for the niche.

While I understand your point of view, I am going to be all over this expansion. More single-player is always a plus in my book.
Will do! Still the Radeon RX 480 is overpriced everywhere. not good at all.
You're telling me. In Canada, the cheapest AIB I've been able to find is $330 before tax. They need to get a handle on supply, or the 1060 is going to swoop in and take the wind out of their sails.
I'm sure we can all pitch in a little bit of effort, sure.
No new race in expansion? That info on expansion looks promising i might go back to play ashes after it hits. Soooo.... i know i will get kicked by every single person in this forum for this idea, but how about adding some sort of "pre game customisation". Like in sc2 in allied commander mode, you could choose a commander with various strategies and perks that impact the game. Can we get something like that for a p
Supreeme commander was released, and then comes Forged Alliance stand alone expansion, same as Ashes is doing and is the right decision . I do not see the interest of optimizing the game for low-cost systems like something good, a DX12 game that faces the future with the latest technology thinking in systems with 8 years old will alow lag games on multiplyer, its the fact we have to understant. <b
This whole entry reads like a love-letter to the quiet majority of us. Not neglecting single-player? Awesome. Helping those of us who can't afford the best hardware? Great. Mod support? I'll be buying a gift copy for my brother. Expansion? I'll be happily giving you more money when it's released. Thanks for all you do!
