Carrying on from this thread. When you say you can launch Sins of a Solar Empire, does the launcher come up first or do you launch it directly from the exe? My current thinking is the launcher might be the issue. Rebellion is the latest and greatest version of the game. There are some DLCs on top of that but are not necessary to just start playing. Trinity is a previous version of the game that is more for legacy players.

The free client has been removed from Steam. Anyone who already downloaded it should still have the free MP client. We are looking into a solution which lets people invite their friends to play still.

I believe this can be done with mods. But if you meant to edit the save file I don't think there are any public or modder made tools for that to my knowledge. There ARE some exploits you can use though if you just want to cheat...

Does it show you have the core game DLC on Steam? We recently removed the free client but everyone who already had it still has it. Might be some weirdness. For single player I think you still need the core DLC.
