You do not need to buy anything extra for all of the music in the game. The "DLC" is just for a separate download in FLAC and MP3 of the soundtrack to listen to yourself outside of the game.

Any thoughts on season 2 so far? Since it's on Netflix I don't have the "no CBS" excuse. In some ways it is definitely better than season 1, but in others it keeps doing things that are just odd, like occasionally referring to the transporter as the "teleporter". Not sure if that's just to help explain what it is to new viewers (which is odd in a second season) or just the writer did not care.
