I watched a building crew build my architect uncle's house, and one day I asked them why the were not putting the rebar in the basement wals as specified. They said, "Architects over engineer everything, and we feel that the walls don't need it." So I asked, "And how long did you study stress loads in engineering school?" By this time the concrete trucks showed up on site, and I told the crew that they can do as they will, but, when you have to tear these walls down to the foundatio

Indeed Jafo, I agree. Not long in coming here last year, I saw the VALUE right away and made haste to subscribe. And although I have yet to skin anything, though now I am working on that, I HAVE made many friends here that have helped me in ways unimaginable I could not have made anywhere else on the Internet, or in the "world" for that matter. Wincustomize is a rare and exceptional "Home" that cannot be matched due to those who have taken a personal interest in it by voluntee

Thanks Stumpy Your effort does not go unrewarded, I have just switched to XP, (Much Thanks to a very generous Wincustomite friend) and glad this post was here also. Jafo, It couldn't hurt to lighten up a little, as you may or may not know, Winter is upon us he

I have installed Gimp for Windows before on my computer (Windows ME), several times in fact and everything worked fine. But now for some reason, it will not install. I have installed the proper GTK support files prior to instaliing The Gimp. This is the only message I get after it tries to create a new Directory: "Installation will now abort, C:\SINGULAR\HOME\SINGULAR\.gimp-1.2 Failure - Cannot create Directory - No such file or directory Insatllation failed.
