Well. Koop has really said it all but I feel that I have to add the following: The concept and design of the whole thredz look belongs to Thredz (Neil Allardice) and Dangeruss (Russ Schwenkler). The wallpaper is by Tech13 (Michael Bodine II). Huge thanks to them for allowing me to push their pixels around for the DesktopX theme. Icons used in the DesktopX theme were by the icon master Mormegil (Paul Boyer). Pop along to these websites to see what else these

The analog clock plugin provides exactly what you are seeing. The hands (and face if you choose) of a clock. The idea is that you put this object on top of another one (ie a PNG) that is the background. You configure the hands to whatever width you want and the colour. If you set the background colour to 255 0 255 it will be magic pink and hence transparent. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif"

Koasati: The executable seems to be a program to emulate the Mac vol control. It may have been better to have provided it as a link rather than the actual executable. If executables should nto be included in executable files it needs to be written somewhere clearly (ie on the upload page).

Erm. Nobody looks dumb except you. You said spyware was installed while installing a logonxp file. What is a logonxip file? A zip file. What does installing a logonxp file do? It unzips the contents of that file to a folder on your hard drive. Please tell me where the opportunity for installing scumware is in this? If you had said: 'Hi, I think I may have accidentally double clicked on an executable contained in one of the zip files I downloaded from your website. You m

I doubt you have made any enemies by what you have said here. I am sure there are people who support your view. Personally I am against war of any sort. As a Christian I believe no man has the right to kill another no matter what the reason. 'Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord'. As this is not a theology website I will not go any further here. <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=

@shu: He's gently trying to put across to you that the place for discussion about politics is not on a skinning site but on a politics newsgroup. He's said it blatantly and subtly but yet this thread continues to grow. The newsgroup is not just there for experts on the matter, it is there for the 'common man'. /me stops adding to this thread now. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" bor

As I understand it the reason it is closed (occasionally) is generally so that the admins can do their administration tasks. With the amount of people connected to this site most of the time the admins often do not get a fast enough connection to the database to get serious work done. Also if there is a major update needed on the database structure or something there needs to not be anyone using it. Yes it's annoying but it would be more annoying if nothing ever got approved or changes to the

No. It is so that DX knows what resolutions the theme looks good on so it can warn someone if they try and load it at a different resolution. To support any resolution takes a bit of tweaking but for a lot of themes it's possible to make them multi-res compatible.

That is a fair few files. Not sure if it has any limit. If you want to send it to me at [email protected] I'll be happy to analyse it using a tool I have developed which can split a theme into seperate objects. Or you may want to contact stardock directly to see if they want to take a look at the theme. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by SkinBrowse

I have just (in the last 5-10 mins) created an app that can take a filename as a parameter and display that AVI file full screen closing after it has played once. It would be trivial to extend this to accept window size settings/positions. It simply runs a timer in the background to check if the current position is at the end of the clip. If it is it closes itself. It's not very pretty but it would hopefully do the job. Will try to put it on my website later if you are interested. <A

The problem is a Microsoft bug which was even present in the beta of XP. You can check this by installing XP (without installing WB) and setting the theme to Luna. Then resize the taskbar to double height. Now change to classic and the bar will drop to single height again. There are workarounds which involve putting another toolbar on the bottom level. So if you stick the quicklaunch bar at the bottom it should stay at double height. I personally use an address bar underneath and have not

It simply has an error in the dll it tries to use for that bit. Then closes itself. No big exciting crash. /me is never afraid to try silly things! but then 98 is on my test box anyway
