Hmm, 10 connections? Where do you see these connections? And, what are the names of them? Are they spyware connections? Did you check your system and the limewire file for viruses(before you opened it) and scan your system for spyware recently? It sounds like something may have been packaged in the Limewire file. Could be a trojan(virus), or spyware.

Hmm, I would right click on the download button, and choose "save target as" and choose your desktop as the location from the top drop down arrow that says "save in", then click the save button. Then, when the download is complete it will show right on your desktop. Otherwise you may have a hard time finding the download once it is complete.
If someone did something like that to my computer, I would wipe my hard drive and start over(making sure that I backed up all my important files first of course). Reason being, if your registry is really messed up, your system might crash one day while you are working on an important project. Then, your system won't start at all. I know, I hate that thing. It went away for awhile when I kept removing it. But, I went to a website that called for Quicktime and it came back. Try unchecking that one entry for LogonStudio. The program will still work. That way, it is using no memory, since nothing for LogonStudio is loading. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling the program. Then, see if your startup speed comes back. I've had programs that say they aren't compatible with the NTFS file system. So, since I like those programs, I opt out of NTFS for now. And, if I ever figure out how to dual boot a WinXP system with 1GB of memory and a Win98 system, then I can't use NTFS anyway. For some reason, I miss Win98.

I believe that your problem of lag is related to the errors that most skins will generate in skin studio. I believe that I am the only skinner that fixes these errors before they release a skin. Most people tell me that my skins are really fast. I believe this is the reason. The Alienware skin generates 75 errors when analyzed in SkinStudio. If you fix them, it might help.

I would get a surge protector if I were you. A electric storm once fried my computer motherboard before I got one. Luckily, my system was still in warranty. I don't know what programs you are running or files that you may have modified that may have caused a problem with LogonStudio for you. I don't even know what OS system you are using. I don't even how many programs you are loading at startup. System specs aren't even given. With this lack of information, all I can really say is that it runs great for me.
