80% of the wallpaper submissions here are rejected. This is a desktop skinning site. Either the walls are part of a theme, or they must be spectacular stand-alones. Otherwise they are rejected.

It's all you guys fault. Girls too. lol. If you loved Uzee's skins, he wouldn't have turned to terrorizing the website. That seems to be the way alot of people in the middle east get attention. Terrorizing their neighbors, when they aren't wholeheartedly accepted. Growth? Nah. Maturity? Nah. Hard work? Nah. You either love their first appearance on the scene, or you are terrorized. But, Uzee doesn't know about U.S. people. When, we've had enough, we fight back to take you out permanently! A

Citizen r3fr, you have a good idea. That would be one of my recommendations too. But, the wrong program. Spybot Search and Destroy is a much better spyware killer. It also searches for bad registry references which can also slow down the computer. Optimizing your registry is important. If you have never done it before you may notice a hundred bad references. But, be careful. It is better to repair misplaced references than deleting ones that you are unfamilar with. If you mess up your registry,

Okay, here goes. The Object Dock Program is free. The Logon Studio Program is free. Wallpapers are free. Window Media Player Skins are free. The rest isn't free. And, I think there is a limit to how much content you can download for free. You can try the shareware versions of Windowblinds and probably the other programs to see if you really like them. I will tell you, they are awesome. Much better than Aston or NextStart, if you ask me. And Object Desktop is safer for your system because it uses

I had that problem the first time too. I don't know why it didn't save it. The second time it worked and I checked it before I shut down OD or my computer. I would choose a new name. Save it then check to see if it was saved. You can check in the themes folder of object dock. Look for a ini file with your saved name. Also, you want all your docks in the object dock folder or it may cause a problem reloading them. Who knows what exactly happens. Maybe you didn't hold a button long enough. So, it

I have half the speed of your system and I have no slow down on any skins. I have more trouble with object Dock and DesktopX lags, but not windowblinds or sysmetrix. It just depends on how much memory you are using on your system. Win98 is not a very memory efficient machine. WinXP handles memory much better. After I get slammed maybe I'll come back with some of the tweaks that I used to speed it up a little on WinXP.

Someone may correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you can set where on the screen a new window will automatically open, if that is what you mean. You can move a window where you want it. and close it. If you reopen that window it will appear there with this size choosen. But the memory for that function is limited. Eventually, it will basically forget and overwrite and set the old ones back to defualt.

Well, if it worked for you then that is good. But, you probably can't even see the file extensions that everyone is talking about. This is the default setting to protect new users of the operating system. It hides the file extensions. You can change it by opening a folder on your hard drive and clicking tools(at the top bar), then folder options, and the view tab. Then, uncheck the box that says "hide extensions for known file types". Then, you can see the .bmp or .jpg file extensions i

I think the comments probably scared the poor guy off. Phil le gros, like many have already said, Skin Studio is not a paint program. It is basically a construction program. You would use Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop, etc, to make the pieces, and assemble them with Skin Studio to make a skin. I understand your frustration with it, I was frustrated by it for a long time. Calm down, ask questions nicely and people will be kinder. Me, I'm still learning how to approach situations my

God forbid if we have too much emotion on this site. God forbid if we have too much caring, feeling, or respect for each other. God Forbid, NOT! The best artists in histoy are those who showed the most emotion in their work. And somehow some people expect no emotion from a site such as this which is full of artists. It's funny. Although, at times, I sort of "feel" for the admins on this site. It must be tough dealing with a site full of tempermental artists. <img src="http://i

And when you are hurting and angry here, don't expect many people to try to console you. They will mostly laugh at you, and take it as "another one bites the dust". Don't be a statistic of ridicule. Be a survivor. Myself, I think I am Neil from the Matrix. I died and I resurrected myself. I lost a lot along the way, but I am stronger now. I know what people do to try to hurt and inflame others, for some sick gratification, and I feel sorry for them. But, I won't allow myself to become a statisti

mfaccone, Think about some of the things people do in anger. Take a week or two and CALM DOWN!! Realize as I did , that this certain administrator has p***ed off a lot of members, me included. Realizing that no name has been mentioned, he tends to believe he can do no wrong, and he can't seem to see any fault with himself. No apologies come to those he has offended because he finds equal fault in your words after his action, to validate himself. Then, you might even get nasty emails from h

Okay, here's one. I went snow skiing for the first time in Big Bear with this awesome Blonde with long, long hair/Blue eyes that I met online. Oh, I thought I was a world class skier with babe in tow. I was ahead of her for the first time going down the slope. She passed me, so I planted my skis for extra momentum and I pushed really hard. The next thing I notice, I am going sideways directly into a snow mound, my skis jump a ditch and land directly into the side of the hill. My skis are stuck a

It sounds to me as if Microsoft doesn't like the revenue that Stardock is creating, being taken out of their pockets. So, they eliminate the competition this way. By creating a new system that is very difficult to customize. Sad, but this seems that is the way that Microsoft operates. They had the right idea with WindowsXP. But, like I said, I guess Stardock took too much revenue out of their pockets. ><

Well, I won't argue. You run your system your way, and I'll run mine my way. I'll do regular system maintenance and you don't do it. I'll do regular car maintenance and you don't do it. And we will see who has the most headaches. But, I will say this. When a system is badly defragmented and windows can't find all the pieces, what happens? File errors. Missing bytes. Then you have to run scan disk in an attempt to repair them before you can finish defragging the hard drive. Maybe you don
