You have to explain what you mean Tiggz. I have made many sysmetrix skins and there are no references in the actual bitmap itself. The bitmap is just a image. It changes because it is set to reference the action of the recycle bin in the skin configuration. It is on and off. It is a split image. Half of it for off and the other side for on. For example, if you don't want it to change, you can just copy one side to the other. The image is split equally in size. For example if the image is 46x46 t

You can also change your administrator name in User Accounts. You can also create a new administrator account and choose any name, and then delete the extra administrator account that you don't want. But, be careful doing this, because it may not be accepted or you may lose most of your visible programs and settings. I would create a new one and only delete the old one once you are sure that everything that you want is present in the new one. Or, just change the name of the original one. But, be

1. What do you mean by your icon refreshing? Are you talking about your account picture or your desktop and system icons? If you are talking about the system and desktop icons, sometimes you might lose a icon that is set when you switch icon packages and then restart your system. If this is the problem, you may need to rebuild your icon cache after switching packages. Or you may want to reset your icons to default before switching packages and then switch packages. You can find these options und

Yes, it may say that, but I've never seen a gif used with that program. If you want to use a gif, for animation, you will need to cut each frame using a gif editor, and paste them in sequence and saved it as a bitmap. Then you can have animations in sysmetrix. A good example is the Aquarium 2 theme. If animations in sysmetrix is what you want the gif for.

The biggest problem I found with Boot XP is that it only uses 16 colors. So, you can basically forget about any nice boot screens. I found a nice dolphin one, but when it loaded it looked terrible because of the 16 color limitation. 256 colors would be acceptable but to degrade every image to 16 colors just isn't enough resolution for even the simplest of backgrounds. Look at the window part of the original image. It is terribly pixelated. Also, there is a problem with the thing that sc

The security holes that are found in WinXP also existed when Win98 first came out. Notice that every time a security hole is found, a patch is also made for Win98 as well. It is because more and more people are trying to hack the latest, and most fabulous operating system, that these holes are being found with WinXP. Just be thankful to WinXP that people are taking the time to find and patch them, instead of having your system hacked. 1. If you were a car thief, would you want to steal

Actually, I truly wish I could go back to the seventh grade. This is the time when you really start preparing for life, which will actually begin after you leave school. The sort of life determined by how well you did, in school.

Bushman, I explained everything in the first paragraph(to do it yourself) for editing and moving the images from sysmetrix. Then, just save the configuration using the save button. There is also a help file called sysmetrix documentation that explains the images and their relationship to the program. The file image for the recycle bin is called RecycleBin.bmp

You need the Winstyle program for that one. I don't think there is a trial version of it. So, you would have to purchase Object Desktop to get it. The link is on the main page under resources at Software. Object Desktop is a great program suite. Or you will have to apply the different parts of the suite yourself. The parts for that suite would be wallpaper(easy to change), windowblinds(trial available), etc,etc..

It is a strange problem. I have a similar one when it doesn't autoload for guest accounts. I haven't actually troubleshooted it to find a way to fix it because I don't really use guest accounts since I don't have children messing around on my computer. I noticed one thing that might account for it though. In the registry, seen easily in Msconfig, CursorXP installs to the HKCU( C urrent User), instead of HKLM( L ocal M achine). I don't know why it does that but, I believe that

Your comment explains exactly why we should post some. Ever heard that ignorance of the law isn't a excuse? If the rules are posted and they are too ignorant to read them, that isn't a excuse. If the majority of personal attacks come from established members that explains exactly why we should have set rules for behavior. It is clearly getting out of control because there are no rules. Does Anarchy sound like a good word to explain it? Oh well, just a suggestion.

You need the software to make it work. But, assuming you downloaded the program windowblinds and a theme and now you are trying to apply the theme, double click the downloaded theme, and it should extract itself to the proper folder. Give it a second or two to finish, then, you need to open Display properties by right clicking the desktop and choosing properties, go to the appearance tab and look for the theme under windows and buttons. Select a theme and then click apply. Wahla.

Karmagirl, Of course number 6 doesn't apply. If it did we would all be banned probably. I just copied them from another board. But, I didn't want to slightly change them and then claim that I wrote them. That would be ripping someone elses work. lol. I think we could really use a copy with somet

Pretty cool desktop GM, but might I recommend the aquarium windowblinds and the aquarium 2 sysmetrix. They look really nice with the Dreamdesign3D Ocean wall. But, you'll need 1280 resolution for the sysmetrix.

I found this set of rules on a Sierra Forum website. This may have saved UzEE and it may help others if such rules are displayed on the home page to those using the messageboard and commenting on skins. Just a suggestion, so please don't flame me. When someone posted something inappropiate these rules were displayed below their posting as a warning. When posting comments, you must follow these rules: 1.No "Yay I got First Post!" posts, no exceptions and no matter what other con
