Though this has been resolved for almost a week now, I wanted to come back to this and thank T-Man for getting back to me and to thank Koasati, GM and Jafo for alleviating any concerns I had. There just seems to be a bit more pissin'n'moanin than thank you's hitting the forums lately. So thanks again for all you all do

It may be that the widgets you are trying to run are for the latest DX 3 and not DX 2. Also you can, with DX running try loading the widget as an object. That'll sometimes get some quirky widget running.
I reckon Saddle up the posse and let's hunt down that thievin' varmint and have us a good ole fashion hangin' I won't worry about it unless something odd happens. If it isn't a site glitch, Jafo's got the person's addy from the email and can apply whatever the appr
If I'm home by myself, I'll eat at my desk.
Thanks guys...what was odd was it was sent to my old address. Last month I updated all my stuff with Stardock with my new addy via email. The following text kinda freaked me out.... This process will attempt to locate your account information for ( my old email addy ) and grant you access based upon your Stardock product registrations.
I just sent an email to the both of you. Someone with a WC account is trying to cross-reference it to my Stardock purchase account. I forwarded a copy of the email that the automated Stardock thing sent to me. If either of you all isn't here, someone let me know so that I can forward this to an admin that is here. I'm a little concerned that someone may be trying to get access to my registration numbers for the products I've bought. Thanks :)
EP....Thanks for the clarification. So much for my trying to find accurate info on the net. I still think that 2000 was geared towards business and ME towards home users. Kona, you're right, but I do have a disc somewhere at home for updating Win9x because of Y2K.
I purposely left out Windows 2000, though a lot of home users upgraded to that after Windows 9x, because it was more of an OS with businesses in mind and the replacement for Windows NT.
Microsoft has a long history of not charging for upgrades to its operating systems. If you have been using a PC at home for the last 10 years and have kept up to date with Microsoft's OS's, then you would have only paid for OS upgrades 4-times: 98, 98SE, ME, XP ( personally, I passed on 98SE, but jumped all over ME, nobody said I was the brightest bulb in the pack <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Ew.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absm
But all this is moot in a world where those with the knowhow to build their own PC will probably pirate the software they want. This might be cynical and over-generalized, but that's how I feel. I built my last three PC's....I purchase my software as I would bet that 99.9% of the folks he

Hiya Pic .: waves :. Thanks for the help!! Took me some more searching, but I found on Microsoft's site that I needed to create a few firewall rules in Nortons for 4 different ports. Then I went to GRC to make sure I didn't mess anything up.
If you have an active Object Desktop subscription, for $10 (media + s/h costs) you can a CD snapshot of the 2005 Object Desktop from Stardock, only takes a couple of days. https://www.stardock.com/products/odnt/cdsnapshot.asp
05:05, 05-05-'05 Thrilling, innit? That sounds like the useless stuff that's rattling around in my head. Somebody better go check on Jafo to make sure he hasn't suffered some sort of blunt force brain trauma.
Hiya folks gotta response back from Stardock.... "Unfortunately, this is a per PC application of the icons. Applying an icon pack cannot be limited to a particular account."
First off everything I know about networks you could fit in this ->. small dot I have never set up a network before and I've gotten pretty far but I am stuck. I am trying to connect a Roku SoundBridge 500 http://www.rokulabs.com/products/soundbridge/index.php to my PC so that I can play my Digital Media over my home stereo. I have an Actiontek 54Mbps Wireless DSL Gateway with 4-port Router http://www.actiontec.com/products/broadband/5
Yeah I just got about a dozen of these too. My ISP scans for viruses before it hits my PC. Easy catch...just annoying
Thanks NT. I was just seeing if anyone who came on these boards also have played this game
I've got two desktops. One has nothing running and is setup with the classic Windows GUI and is for gaming. The other has Windowblinds, DesktopX, Iconpackager, CursorXP, Wallpaper, ObjectDock Plus and Rainlendar running and every once in a while I'll run a widget to try it out. If I like the widget, I'll run it as an object and add it permanently to my DesktopX Theme.
I just started playing this. It's the first online community game I've ever played before and it's pretty fun, though I keep getting my butt kicked. Anyway if anyone else here is playing it what realm are you in? I'm in Uther and I'm a Human Warrior named Essencay.
ZZZzzz..... Second everytime it is re-started, I have to re-allow it net access through Nortons. I don't have this problem with the other netcentric DX stuff I run and Nortons I know why at least on this one. It's because when you run the *.exe file it expands into a different temp area everyti
I thought I read somewhere that this was the "new" Stardock Support forum If it isn't, then they should probably just scrap the whole Stardock Support forum section and let folks just post in OS customization, which doesn't have such an official sounding ring to it. Either way when I get home from work I send off a note to support since I got a couple of
