So what happens when the game is updated through Steam. Will it automatically update it to the then current build, or will we have to reinstall to remove the beta stuff?

It's getting to hard to tell if this has been mentioned without a forum search option: My Bugs: 1) Galactic Wonders (like Eyes of the Universe) that are only supposed to be built once, being built several times (by me and then by a minor race in the last game, for example). 2) Getting the same level espionage update on a civ several times.
"Personally, while I see the benefit of this website, I try not to look at it when I'm playing. I LIKE not knowing for sure what I have to research to get what I want down the road . . . ." Yes, but there should be an online civilopedia because it would be nice to know the "levels" of different techs when you are trying to trade them (and I do not see any hyperlinks in the trade screen or any other way of finding out, short of memorization). Ditto with where planets are, what they have
"you do know that you can click on the sector button to get a breakdown of the exact value of influence each race has in the current sector? This is a small button in the top right corner of the main window. It's very useful for catching these influence bugs." It would be really useful if that button also put the various sector influences in different colored numbers in the galatic minimap quadrants.
Frogboy: Everything related to combat is turned on (including the view combat option).
I mentioned this in another thread. No one responded, and the issue has not been resolved, so I will mention it again. Combat is too confusing. The game flashes from one set of ships to another, I see flashes and sounds, and something dies without my knowing why. I'm not looking for tactical combat, just something decipherable.
Is there a way to search the forum? I cannot find it. I was going to ask whether you could upgrade ships. Do you just junk scouts, etc. at some point? I was going to try to search the forum to see if it had already been answered, but could not find a way.

The game locked up after hitting the complete turn button. Are we supposed to post this stuff here? I'm not a programmer, so I do not know if I have the right data, but this is from the debug ERR file. *** Begin *** *** 1/4/2003 4:03:39 PM *** App: drengin Version: 0.68.101 Debug Message: Initialized Variables Debug Message: Initialized Variables ========== Read UserData ========== Debug Message: 002417 Debug Message: Re
"In addition, I'd still love to be able, on the mini-map, to toggle a highlighting of a) resources, and b) stars with colonizable [15 and above] planets which I have discovered and which have not yet been grabbed by someone. I play almost exclusively on the gigantic map, and it can be a problem keeping track of this stuff." I agree that this would be big, and think that most would agree.
Well, I just played my first four or five hours worth after having the game sitting around for a week or so. Here are my comments (negative only, there are plenty of positive things, but there is no need to decide whether you want to fix those). Some of these are petty, some are macro-level, but none are "Major substantive changes I would like to see at this late date". Some may have been mentioned; I've followed the forums a bit, but not enough to know every bug/issue that has alread
